Young can score in streaks but he's one of the very few in the league that make JR Smith look like a member of Mensa in the BBIQ department.

Yes please. But I'm afraid he might be worth more than we're willing to give....hopefully he takes the minimum...otherwise, PASS.

Although he chucks the ball we need a player of his mentality coming off the bench. Someone who isn't afraid of putting up buckets and taking over when our starters are on the bench.

Nick Young open to join Lakers for vet min?

Postby Hello Clark on Wed Jul 10, 2013 12:49 pm

@ArashMarkazi

Obviously, outside of Kaman, anyone who wants to join the Lakers will have to take the veteran's minimum for one season.

@ArashMarkazi

My guess is Nick Young would do that to come back home and play for the Lakers unless, of course, he gets a crazy offer.

Not sure if id want him. He doesnt play any defense, and only shot 35 % from 3 last season. He could probably drain a lot of open shots for us, but again...he doesnt play defense.

I want a young athletic SF, but someone that can play d and shoot.

F***ING DO IT NICK YOUNG.

I know he's not great, but he'd be a great fit for our team. Come home, play for a year. Earn your keep. Then be a part of a glorious rebirth out here.

He's clearly not getting any major offers or he'd have taken it already. Just come home and play your butt off in Los Angeles!

Who the heck are you kidding?

You think we're going to find defenders who can shoot the three for the minimum? Where and who are they?

anyone who wouldn't want this guy on our team is nuts. he's no saving grace but for a team that is seriously lacking guys who can produce their own shots, Young for the vet min? no brainer here for us.

yes to nick young

interestingly, corey maggette was just on the phone with mason and ireland, he seemed to have a great attitude, and they were recruiting him hard :man10:

I don't know how anyone could argue against this... He doesn't play defense? Do you see anyone on this roster that does? :man10:

He doesn't shoot efficiently? He shoots efficiently enough and there's literally no one else on the team who can create their own shot. He'd be the ONLY other one besides Kobe.

Young can shoot. Maybe he can play at the 3 spot which is right now a glaring need. I can't forget that explosion Young did for the Clippers when he helped them climb out of a 20 plus deficit against Memphis.

JR SMith potential, with low bball IQ to boot, just not as athletic but just as trigger happy. We need a player like this of the bench, who can do more than just stand in the corner or top of the key waiting to brick open 3's.

We're going to be mediocre this season at best, and our scorer is going to be out for who knows how long. Yeah, Young is a chucker, but he'd be a scorer we lack and Meeks wouldn't have to play as much, I'd take Young here in a second.

If you don't want Nick Young for the minimum........

Must be really big fans of Meeks and the invisible SF we have.
