November Schedule; Where do We End Up?

Not sure about record but I think we'll get off to a really hot start & be top 4 in the West through November atleast riding this momentum. These guys are playing like they have everything to prove & we haven't even seen the return of their leader who feels the same way with all the doubters saying he can't come back & be himself.. The key is depth.. We can withstand injuries to Nash or Pau with all of the added rotation players. Young, Henry, Kaman, Farmar are all stepping up.. Wes is being hampered by an idiot that thinks anyone over 6'6 can play PF right now but if Kelly ends up making the team I think that will help move Wes back where he belongs. OKC, SA, & GS all have a good chance at starting hot, followed by us, the Clips, & Houston..

I know it will be tough but I would absolutely love it if we can win our opening game. Send a message sort to speak. The GS game is a b2b so I'm not to worried about that. But I want that first game.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think we are allowed to trade this upcoming pick since we traded this past year's and next season's pick. Not allowed to trade consecutive first round picks.

I don't think there is anything that says we can't draft a player for someone else and trade after the draft. This management group seems hell bent on swinging for the fences and opposed to building from within.

Yeah.. We can trade it but it has to be a scenario where we draft for another team & then trade after we pick them. Unless we find a way to dump some of our role players for a 1st we won't have 1 to trade to make a major deadline deal.. Pau, Hill, Nash, & the expiring contracts of Blake & Meeks are our only trade assets. A package of Hill/Blake/Meeks expiring contracts for an overpaid player on a long contract is about the biggest splash we can make without dealing Pau. That's roughly 9M in outgoing contracts..

Well, we're 1 game better than I thought so far, thought we'd be 1-3 with tonight as the only win. That's something positive at least.

We beat a leastern conference team that we should be beating, but just barely, and we scratched out a win against the Clippers, who IMO we should have lost to.

So we're doing a little better than I thought, but this team still has a lot of holes that need to be patched. Thankfully, despite the holes, this team seems to have a positive attitude and tends to support each other, so I'm hopeful that they may be able to overachieve a little before Kobe gets back.

4-5, on a better pace than I expected for sure. If we can stay around .500 we won't have the hole to dig out of like last season, and hopefully Kobe comes back and gets to close to what he was.

Better than I expected as well. It seems that one out of every 4 games we can't miss. The next 2 are up and down and then the next one we can't hit s*it. If we keep that up we will be near .500 at the end.

This is about where I thought we'd be, but the wins came against unlikely opponents. I didn't think we'd win in Houston or against the Clippers, but I did expect us to win in New Orleans and in Dallas...

Dallas is going to be a surprise team I think. Not a true contender but then again most people have them out of the playoffs or so. They put together a decent roster that is pretty well balanced. I wouldn't have expected this team to beat Dallas in Dallas.

I thought we were going to lose to the Clips, GS, Houston and Dallas for sure. .500 in those games is 1000% than I thought.

6-7 so far, we've exceeded my personal worst case scenario, and beaten some pretty good teams. After the top 5 or 6 teams in the West, I don't see a bunch of teams way better than us. If Kobe comes back and is close to himself, and we can avoid injuries to key players, I still see us as a 7th or 8th seed playoff team. I know many here don't want that, but these guys we signed don't seem like the type to tank, they play hard, and we know Kobe will never stand for tanking.

^^^^ We'll see if we are better than Blazers,Mavs and Wolves in the long run...

Denver
Lakers
Blazers
Wolves
Mavs

These teams will battle for the 7th and 8th seeds... Marc Gasol injury could change that though

I believe if Kobe is Kobe, we are better than the Nuggets and Mavs. The Blazers are on fire right now, 9 wins in a row, and the Wolves look much improved, but we'll see if those young teams can keep if up all season.

We're doing better than I anticipated, and with Kobe... this could actually be a good team.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I think we can win the rest of our games this month...those teams aren't world beaters. It would be great to end this month at 10-7 which I think is highly possible. I think we're starting to find our stride and players are starting to find their roles.

So we finish 9-8, that's better than I thought for sure, and not bad at all. I just hoped to hang around .500, and we did that, that it's on the positive side is a bonus to me, this has been a tough early schedule.

WOW

How pathetic is the Eastern Conference? Lakers, with a 9-8 record, would be the 3rd best team behind Indiana and Miami.

We play the Blazers next on Sunday (they've won like what 15 in a row?)...I think we can win that game since POR has like 1 win in their last 15 trips vs Lakers in Staples Center

10-8? I would've never imagined. NEVER

How easy does Lebron have it over there SMH

9-8 record without Kobe is great I think!

we shooting over 40% from the 3.
9 different players have been the best scorers in 17 games.
Even with Pau playing like s**t.
switching Blake from SG to PG sure helped)
We won some tough ones. (Houston, Pistons)
Won some close games. (Atlanta, Houston, Brooklyn, Detroit)
Lakers are ready for Kobe's come back!
Hope Hill's injury is nothing serious.

Keep it up, Lakers!!! :jam2: :jam2: :jam2:

10-7.

Missed most of the actual games, but came close to the win total. Good work Lakers.
