b2b on the road, no Drew, Kobe with potentially more wrist complications, and the Queens are always amped to play us.

We could be in for a long night.

^^That along with the fact that we always seem to have trouble with quick, athletic teams regardless of the other circumstances.

+ the fact that most young guys struggle on the road rather than at home...so bench production etc. will be crucial but hard to get on the road. We will see how McRambis, Ebanks, G-Lock etc. react to the pressure.

We should be able to beat this Sacramento team tonight. They lack cohesiveness and do a lot of 1 on 1 play. Just rebound better, dont give up 3s and we should get outta there with a W

my belief is that with young teams (i.e. the kings), if you can get after them defensively and make them work for each shot, they eventually start taking forced shots or shots outside of their comfort zone.

if we can keep up the defensive intensity we witnessed yesterday, we should be okay.

nevertheless, arco is always a tough spot to play. i think we'll limit the turnovers (especially kobe) and win this by about 8 points.

Yeah..agreed. However, our young guys will fall into the same spiral themselves if their shots don't fall.

I'm not too disappointed really, Lakers did a lot of things well and lost in more of a 'oh, that won't happen enough times to be too beat up about it' sort of way.

Kobe made some weird decisions and he looked all too 'guard-able' at times, but you can't say he lost the game for us.

I was honestly expecting things to be much worse, win or loss, but I liked most of what I saw, the offense needs to come together though. It was pretty patchwork for stretches.

It will be a tight contest as usual McRoberts and Murphy will need to alleviate Gasol from all the banging that will ensue tonight.
Nor can the Lakers get blamed for always making the right decisions over decades. At some point its not just luck or "gamble", its superior management and superior ownership.

If that happens we have older players on the bench who could replace our young guys, such as Barnes, Kapono, Fisher, Murphy.

Pau will have to step it up against Hayes , he's a very solid 1 on 1 defender despite his lack of size.

We have to jump on them early as we should be less rusty than them

true. hoping coach brown pushes the young guys to think defense first, especially G-lock. I think with the young guys on the Kings (Tyreke, Jimmer, Thornton), we can get them to make mistakes.

I don't think the Kings will have that same defensive mindset that we will, but i'm certain they'll make us look bad at times just from an athletic standpoint.

we'll see tonight. i thought we'd come out of these first 3 days at 1-2, just trying to figure out who we are as a team.

i'm thinking marcus thornton might drop 30/5/5 (since he's on my fantasy team, haha), but we still win fairly comfortably.

Morris is inactive again. :mad1: :mad1: :mad1:

C'mon man. You have to give the guy minutes, what the hell, you can't have him rot on the end of the bench in a suit.

Kobe really needs to sit out for a little while. I know this packed schedule is tough, but he needs to heal.

All summer/fall long all I hoped was that there would be a season, now I'm thinking I may have been wrong. I'd almost rather have had no season than have to endure another '06 type roster while Miami cruises to a title.
