We didn't clean up the offensive glass. Plain and simple. Can't blame Blake, Barnes or Sessions... Players will have bad games... But on Championship teams, your best player can have a bad game and you will still win a Game 7 in the finals... Ask 6 for 24 Kobe back in the 2010 Finals...
Defense and rebounds.... Defense and rebounds... Defense and rebounds...
Drew and Pau combined for 19 boards... The ideal is 25 between them...That's the formula. Bynum can't lose sight of that.
Kobe was great but bogged down a little in the 4th...his defense is improving though which is a good sign.
^^ I agree. For me the only serious WMC I have is that we committed the cardinal sin on the defensive boards - we played position rebounding instead of boxing guys out and putting bodies on them. Way too many 2nd chance points, that was the biggest issue.
Otherwise, I though we had some good stretches on D overall. Blake had a terrible offensive outing after a good one last game, which is kind of typical for him. Very inconsistent in that regard. Like Puffy said, the worst of it was the turnovers, which Sessions was a bit guilty of too, especially in the first half.
But I thought Blake made up for it with his scrappy defensive effort tonight. I was impressed by that.
Sessions shot the ball too much, especially in the first half. Once he got to the rim, and also got his floater working he was rocking. That phantom foul seemed to get his edge up and he attacked more. He needs to do that and quit with the cute stuff. Go to the hole and attack if you have an opening or dish it out. It's simple.
