You wanna talk about a mirage, or false hope, he's a prime example. Like I've been saying, I still trade him for youth and athleticism if I can, he's not helping win us anything this season. I don't even care if Dwight is out, we're still not winning jack with Pau filling in at C.

Why are you guys mad that Pau can't protect the paint? It should be patently obvious by now that he can't play a lick of D.

Him and Metta if we cant move these guys then reduce their roles and responsibilities. They cant be counted on late in the game during critical stretches. They are the supposed 2 time champs but they play like chumps. Make too many dumb mistakes, cant defend, cant convert open opportunitites. Not reliable at all for anything

Last 2 minutes Kobe was looking for someone to pass the ball, he was kinda crazy so he missed some balls.

Jamison and Clark should play most of the time

That's the thing dude. HE CAN"T JUMP. Worse part is, I don't think he even wanted to.

That's Pau. He has ALWAYS been an average man defender on this BEST days, when he was in his prime. When he was in his prime, he was always a horrible help defender.

Pau isn't even close to his prime......so, you all can do the math. Asking Pau to play D is akin to asking D12 to make consecutive FT's....it'll happen about 10% of the time.

Dwight? next month? he'll be out for sure.

And how about Nash...today we got Trash or Cash...Blake is also available and he did it well today.

Pau, I am almost speechless. But I'll make an effort and post something.

Next time when a reporter asks you about being on the bench -- especially in crunch time -- feel free to tell them you deserve it. You are almost as slow as big Z was in his last years in the league. You have absolutely no lift. You have showed a 1-inch vertical last night when you tried to take it to the basket. You started shooting hooks with your feet planted to the ground.

You defensive efforts are almost non-existant. You can't protect the rim and are allowing easy layups. Without Dwight, our interior defense looks pathetic and guess whose responsibility that is? It's not just that you can't do it physically anymore, you are not even showing the effort. At least that's how it looks like. It's sad.

Please do not complain about the bench thing ever again. You should've stopped some layups there. You got 37 minutes and got 5 rebounds, and you played without Dwight late in the game. In comparison, Dwight got 14 with a bad back and a busted shoulder BTW. 5 of which were offensive.

You're 7-1 and you shot under 50% from the field. Your FT shooting is beyond horrible right now.

Seeing the game live I was shocked at how much Pau has slowed down since the last live game I saw 18 months ago. It's night and day really. His elbow looks like something out of a freakshow when he had the wrap off of it on the bench. He's got a knot on the inside the size of a walnut.

He seemed mentally engaged when he came in initially but you can see it in his face..... he's just not able to physically perform right now and there is ZERO confidence...... none. He needs 8 months off to heal up...... the year round NBA, FIBA stuff has obviously taken its toll on him.

On the other hand Kobe looked much more athletic than the last live game I was at..... Interesting.

^I can tell Pau has slowed down tremendously; it must look worse in a live game. He has barely any lift & lateral quickness anymore. Actually, I thought it was worse at the beginning of the year when he was sitting for the tendonitis in his knees. Add in the fact you have Metta who is one of the most least athletic SF's in the league and you see why we need to get a little bit younger & more athletic.

I've been a big Pau supporter despite all his struggles the past few years... but this whining about not starting is really annoying me. If he's so confident that he's starter material, maybe he can do that on another team.

He can't even hit FTs as well as he used to.
