Some soreness for @Pau Gasol today in his right foot and he's seeing foot specialist tomorrow. Could be routine; no reason to panic yet.

Gasol is going to see Dr. Jung (foot specialist) today & we'll have an update before the game on where he stands.

I think it all depend on where the soreness is coming from, the regular leg muscles not so much, but foot soreness? How often do you get foot soreness after a long time of not playing? For me basically never, unless the foot is still injured, hence why he is seeing a foot specialist again, I think his foot is acting up again.

When the muscle in your foot tore?
therealdeal wrote:That's not necessarily what soreness means. My joint could be "sore" when the weather turns bad, doesn't mean it's injured.
If he's sore it's because he is coming back from a surgery in which his muscles are probably not quite ready for the strain of a basketball game. Is that what you mean?

The ultrasound on the foot of @paugasol showed "continued healing and improvement," per LAL PR. Good news for Gasol & LAL.

It's been exactly 6 weeks in a 6-8 week original timetable; Gasol's expected back soon, & continues to progress.

LAL have only 1 game in next 5 days, but when Gasol will play is unknown. He'll resume therapy & work outs w/t team tomorrow.

After ultrasound on foot today, Pau is healing, but Friday return is now seems unlikely. Lakers want Pau to have consecutive pain-free days before he plays a game. D'Antoni had hoped to reintegrate Pau in practices tomorrow and Thursday, but Pau taking part in light team workout tomorrow won't happen unless he feels suddenly very good.
Overall, Pau's recovery from the torn plantar fascia is going well -- this is six weeks now -- but he will ramp down the workouts if he has more pain. If he has less pain, then he'll ramp them up. Either way, return is in the ballpark -- just not maybe Friday vs. Wizards.
Lakers play at Golden State on Monday night.
