Oh.... I know. Just frustrated with this guy beyond belief.

I've has an inner ear infection and vertigo before. It's not a fun thing.

I'd rather be in pain than have vertigo. Spinning dizziness is the worst thing that could happen to me. Hope i never have what you guys are talking about.

^^ It's freaking awful. Like Roo I speak from experience, and yeah, Roo I get your frustration with Pau. Anyway, Vertigo sucks - it's like being sea-sick times 100.

But for those thinking that Pau is just being a wuss, I hope you don't ever experience vertigo/ inner ear problem. It's a beast. Not for the faint of heart. It'll put you out of commission.

Have had touches of vertigo myself. It's scary actually. Have to be careful moving around.

About Gasol: have to figure no major FA signing is taking place this summer. Maybe a good young mid-level player who can be part of a contending team down the road, but that is likely it. Mid-level guy, Kobe, draft pick, Nash, Sacre, that's the team so far. In this context, it would probably be okay to sign Gasol for 1 year at $9m, maybe a 2nd year as a team option, maybe throw in a buyout clause for the 2nd year if necessary to sweeten the deal, don't think Gasol is going to do any better on the open market. Lakers get somebody serviceable for next year and cap space after that.
I shall be telling this with a sigh

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Pau needs to go. His defense alone has cost us for far too long. He gives up a 20 PER to opposing centers, our defense gives up 114 PPG with him on the court vs. off at 108 PPG.

To get back on top, we need to get back to defense and rebounding. Pau does neither effectively anymore. And offensively we only improve 1.4 PPG with him on and off the court. The benefits do not outweigh the negatives for him anymore. He needs to move on, we need to move on.

Well.... this is the only reason to keep MDA..... at least until Pau has signed somewhere else..... :man1:

I believe Pau has outlived his usefulness. He chose to float rather than soar after the title run. He prioritized the Spain NT over the Lakers. So disappointing.

Reasons to not watch the Lakers during the 2014-2015 season :

1 a) MDA is still coaching our team
1 b) Pau is still on the roster

Bad news for Pau Gasol. Lakers center has had severe recurrence of vertigo and is incapacitated in Sac. hotel room. Out tonight obviously

That has to be awful. Not being able to escape a Sacramento hotel would be terrifying.

The vertigo is a total pain. It's intermittent with inner ear viral infection. You go some days without it, then it hits again. Sucks. It's supposed to take 30 days total to run its course. He may be able to come back for a while, but it might return, too.

Honestly, i didn't even know what vertigo is before this situation with Pau.
He should just sit out, only 7 games left.

Pau Gasol might have played his last game in a Lakers uniform.
The team is leaning toward sitting him for its final seven games while he recovers from a severe recurrence of vertigo.

He helped us win those 2 back to back rings and 3 straight Finals appearances, no doubt about it. However it is time to move on, I wish him the best of luck and he will always have a soft spot in my heart for all the happiness he brought me by helping the Lakers win.

If this is it for him in a Laker uniform I will always be greatfull for his contributions to the two title teams, but I'll never forget his lasidasical play of recent years. It won't tarnish the way I look at his Laker career but sure will not help. I'll also know him as the "dodger" for dodging so many trades without actually changing teams. It seems fitting he ends his laker career on the injured list.

Pau Gasol deserves better. He brought two championships to the Lakers, most likely 2 more than No D toni will ever win.
