Interesting. I thought he was healed after the played the game against Golden State; so, it was still lingering? Hmmm...well, more Hill & Kaman.

Good. More Hill and kaman and less Gasol.

IMO this team without Kobe and Blake needs Pau out there for his playmaking in order to win most of the time. That's why his defense and lack of effort in many areas is continually frustrating, you need what he brings but he kills is us in other areas. I don't want to hate on a guy for a respiratory infection, but like Doc said, it's always something with Pau. Effort-wise, same old Pau after a week of good games a week ago, that's why I hesitate to give praise, he always reverts to a kitty cat.

I'd trade him for a towel boy at this point. Honestly he has checked out, he doesn't want to be in LA anymore.

Poor Pau. Someone expects lottery lineup suddenly becomes title contender. Playing with 100% Kobe and the best center, we barely made playoffs last year. I would say Lakers are doing GOOD so far.

Pau has been playing like s*** almost every game so far this season. Lakers are doing good so far as a team.... Pau is not as an individual player

I really thought Pau stepped up and challenged any and all penetration on Christmas. His hard work on getting deep post position every time down put a lot of pressure on Miami's interior defense. Finally he took a huge jump forward in keeping opposing teams off the offensive glass.

Things are looking up......

I wouldn't use last season as an example of how we barely made the playoffs because so many things went wrong. If we were even reasonably healthy things could have turned out much differently.

I read in a euro sports site that Pau was definitely going to Memphis..
I've been traveling and haven't had time to check in.. Is it true?

Nothing I've heard about that. There's been no news of a trade there or anything.

If Mitch is working on a trade, they're smart to have Pau sit out so he can't pull a Luke & fake an injury near the deadline like he has the last few years.

An infection of the upper respiratory system. :man1:

I get sinus infection. Sinusitis is a URI - and it doesn't go away in 8 days all the time (I have my way of dealing with them down to an easy routine). Sometimes it feels like the flu, and I don't think I could play basketball with it.

The URI was supposed to be the reason he missed the GS game, then he proceeded to play the next 2 games, then sat against Utah & is now missing another game. So he just magically got better for 3 days & then got another URI? Doesn't add up.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist and I'm not Pau Gasol (sorry), but it happens. The same way you can aggravate other physical problems, you can aggravate URIs. (Where's Roo? He said he gets sinus infections, too.)

Yeah, sinus infections suck. I deal with them frequently. When they're at their worst, I can barely move my head and I'm left bedridden all day. Even when they're minor, playing physically demanding basketball with even a little bit of congestion often leaves me with a debilitating headache for the rest of the day.
