Give the man the props. He did a great job on anchoring the paint in the finals :jam2:

I agree. Pau did a wonderful job on Dwight. He held his ground and contested shots. He was really an anchor for us this series. Blocking shots and getting rebounds.
"After slamming in an alley-oop as the Suns center(Amare Stoudemire) clung helplessly to his arm, Bynum hopped around like he was on a pogo stick, grinning and nodding in a 'Who’s the man-child now?' sort of way" -Chris Broussard of espn.

Pau is not soft. One of the best big man in the world.

This simply can't go unnoticed. He went toe to toe in the paint against the dominant force of the NBA. He took numerous Howard elbows, shoulders, and forearms but played through it. He was also able to log big minutes and be effective offensively as well, which in and of it's self is remarkable.

he was fantastic on defense in the finals. actually, the whole team did a pretty good job against a real powerhouse offensive unit in orlando. raised their game at the right time on that end. i really didn't expect that to happen, but i'm thrilled it did. their d won this title, imo.

Pau...if I ever call you soft again it'll be strictly out of at the moment emotion. You are a man and proved it this series. Man to man D on Dwight was as good as you can ask for.

the only time i will use the words 'soft' and 'pau' in the same sentence is if we're talking about what kind of pillows he should buy.

Pau is the man, the absolute man. He's been the model of consistency, and ever since the day he arrives we have been contenders. Then in this Finals he took it to another level, because he did it on offense AND defense, he made Howard look almost ineffective, made him miss so many easy shots with his defense. Pau is one of the greatest players in the NBA, it can't be disputed.

THANK YOU PAU GASOL!!!!

Your efforts are not overlooked even though you are playing with Kobe. Without your consistent efforts and dedication we would not be NBA champions!!!!

I sincerely appreciate your consistency. Its one of the characteristics we were missing prior to your arrival from other players. Your MVP caliber in my book.

14 points...15 rebounds...3 assists...4 blocks. Gasol outscored and outrebounded the man-child Howard in this last game. He also took a nice charge from the big Orlando center too.

All those who called him Gasoft should really feel ashamed. You don't judge character by one game or even 10 games in December. You judge them for their performance in June.
Pau Gasol yesterday morning when asked about Dwight Howard: "I haven't called. Calls are expensive."

Thank you Pau, the minute you were here we were instant contenders, i remember him dropping 20 and 10 his first night back,
how amazing is this man, he learned the triangle which complicates some asap. He is a force in this offense, honestly he is a mvp worthy player.

Gasol is one of the best thing to happen to the lakers, and to think we got him for kwame and critt.
