The only way I see Pau being traded is if the Lakers got a good young SF with a couple of 1st round draft picks. Metta will be amnestied. That move will save the Lakers 30 million.

My only worry about the 2014 is that the free agent class isnt as abundant as you think. There are a lot of team options and qualifying offers at the end of 2014. I dont know who the Lakers can get to supplement Howard if Howard signs back. My hope is that the Lakers get a bonafide star at PG and a all star small forward. And with some luck, Kobe take a pay cut and stays at 2.

^^ Definitely sounds like a good thing to extend his career whether that is here or elsewhere.

Probably should have done it a year or two ago.

Most likely, he's doing it now is because he wants to be 100% on another team and give full effort in a different uniform... IMO we won't see the best of Gasol until he's traded because his time is up as a Laker... his heart isn't in this place anymore... the Lakers will realize that soon and trade him.

I'm glad he's having the procedure done, he will play better for whatever team he's traded to that way. :man1:

So what? He isn't actually getting what Kobe, just a cheap out version like Arenas. This Is a move to lower his value or make an excuse

Re: Pau Thread: FAST procedure scheduled for tomorrow

Postby Vasashi17 on Wed May 08, 2013 3:41 pm

Pau's going to get the FAST procedure done tomorrow..not the PRP. Its minimally invasive and he should be back in weight bearing form in about 2 weeks.

The FAST (Fasciotomy and Surgical Tenotomy) Technique is performed using a local anesthetic to numb the area. You will be fully awake and alert the entire time.

Your doctor will use conventional ultrasound imaging to identify the location of the scar tissue. This is similar to seeing a baby in the womb with a sonogram.

Once located, a small instrument—the size of a toothpick—is inserted into the scar tissue. The instrument delivers ultrasonic energy specifically designed to break up and remove damaged tissue safely and quickly, without disturbing the surrounding healthy tendon tissue.

After the scar tissue is removed, the tiny opening is closed using only a Band-Aid® adhesive bandage—no sutures or stitches are needed.

I wonder if Charlotte would bite on a Pau for Sessions/Henderson trade. Henderson is due for an extension. Fill up that capspace since no one else is going to Charlotte lol pipe

Sessions maybe. Henderson...Although, nothing is pipe with Jordan at the helm.

Heck, let's really roll with this.

Gasol and Nash

for

Sessions, Gordon and Henderson

Gasol
McRoberts
Gilchrist
Walker
Nash

could actually be a pretty interesting team. They could definitely compete for the playoffs in the East and they still have their two prized young pups.

We have

Dwight/Hill
Clark/Hill
Henderson/?
Kobe/Gordon
Sessions/Gordon

Henderson is a stat-padder on a bad team, he would become almost useless in L.A... no thanks.

It says he's eligible for the qualifying offer. Is that still considered a sign and trade?

Yes. That just means that he's a restricted FA if the Bobcats accept the QO for him. Any team that wants him, has to sign him for that price or more if they want. Bobcats can match any offer and retain him.

Everything has gone well! Now I'll have to rest my knees and start with the rehab. Thanks everyone for your support! http://t.co/1HcIGtn3rN

Also, it looks like Pau is staying home this summer instead of playing for Spain's national team.

Marc Mundet: Ricky Rubio to RAC1: "We knew Pau had physical problems. In this case, he'd be a little bit selfish but he's given a lot to Spain NT. We'll wait Pau for next summer".

Get right big fella!

Also..

Trudell: Gasol's FAST technique knee procedure was successful; he's expected to make a full recovery. Team says 12 weeks to resume b-ball activities.

Maybe he can give us a 5 week stretch of solid basketball for next season. Last season he got rest and gave us about 3.

Nah, now that he's right I expect F'Antoni will play Pau 47 mpg next year.

And in typical Pau fashion he will complain about not playing enough and how he isn't getting to shoot the ball enough.
