Wow he and Kobe had quite the year.

Pau rules. It's still unbelievable to me that he's on our team!! It's a dream come true. He was the guy I always wished we could get but I never thought we had a chance. We get him, we go to two straight championships. There you have it. He's the perfect second guy for Kobe. A guy who can pass, post up, D it up, bring the fire, and wants it just as much as Kobe. He's a warrior and I love his game. He's my favorite Laker, what can I say. T'hat's no knock on Kobe who I love, I just really dig this big Spaniard and his smarts and fire.

Pau (along with Odom), played aggressive defense from Games 5 and 6 in Denver all the way through the Finals. Props to him.

Pau Gastrong it is!

Our PF-C was more then capable of playing against the strongest center in the league.

^For some reason, Dwight never really tried to attack Pau that much like he did during the regular season.

My guess is that when he started off playing against Bynum, he knew that he couldn't just bulldoze Drew due to his experiences playing against Drew before. So he tried doing alot of finesse stuff. However, when Drew got into foul trouble, Pau came in and Dwight never adjusted.

Adjustments are something young players aren't so good at. Dwight is still 23 years old.

Dwight did try to attack Pau, multiple times. Pau/ our doubles were smart about it. Pau either drew the charge, played great solid D on him, or we doubled and forced him to kick it out/take a tough shot.

I love Andrew but I'm not going to attribute that as to why Pau did well against Dwight. Pau deserves full credit.

The Lakers have won championships when they have combined a great guard and a great big man. Pau shouls still have at least 4 more good seasons. He will turn 29 next month, so he is still young. Kobe is a warrior and will have a few more good seasons.

As for Pau, he has toughened up, willing to do whatever it takes to win.



The Lakers have an amazing legacy of big men. Pau is now part of Laker history by his own merit: Mikan, Wilt, Kareem, Shaq, Pau.

Pau is probably going to wind up being the best true PF in Lakers history when his career finishes.

Yep. If he sticks around and wins rings/puts up numbers in a big market, he COULD be a HOF'er.

I never thought the man was soft. Last year his D wasn't amazing but soft was just a title thrown on him so he could be used as a scapegoat.
