Nor can the Lakers get blamed for always making the right decisions over decades. At some point its not just luck or "gamble", its superior management and superior ownership.

I.e., in Houston game, Lakers outscored Rockets 22-8 in 5 minutes featuring Kobe-Pau combo & no Dwight.

Please Adande, keep reading the stat sheet and saying dumb things. What are we even supposed to take from statements like that, that Dwight and Kobe shouldn't play together? :man10: Maybe take a look at who else is on the floor when Kobe and Pau are out there, could it be a hustle guy that plays defense like Jordan Hill? Hmm.

10 games in with five of them under Potato makes this sample not only small, but less meaningful.

I never understood the pau hate on these (and other) forums... hes still one of the lakers best players and def has been one of my favorites (in the whole league) for the past few years.

It's not so much hate as it is disappointment. For the past two seasons Pau has played below his capability and his lack of motivation is clearly visible. It's one thing if he actually couldn't play anymore, but he's just settled with two championships and no longer has that fire to be a dominant player.

He needs to really work on the glass tonight, Humphries is a pretty good offensive rebounder, he could hurt us if Pau's not boxing out agressively

Player of the game IMO, right there with Kobe. Yes, Lopez scored on him a bunch of times, but not really in the 4th, had 17 points, 11 boards, and 7 assists. He made some great passes, had some great defensive possessions, played his role perfectly tonight I thought. Is he tired? Probably, Brown played him way too much, he's not young anymore, and he did play in the Olympics this offseason.

Hill needs to play more backup 5 with Jamison at the backup 4 to give Pau and Howard more rest. Plus, I don't like 'Tawn at the 3 anyway.

This team sucks without the starters, I dont see them getting any rest, maybe when we play crappy teams. But toward the playoff, we might be screwed.

Pretty good showing tonight. He was quick to pull the trigger on those mid range jump shots, and his passing was excellent as usual.

I think we can keep in Kobe and MWP and runs Hill at the 5 for 2 minutes per quarter. Something like this:

backup PG (whoever earns it i guess)

Howard (only starter, but the floor is spread nicely for him)

Played a good overall game ... 2 complaints though :

- Are you really THAT slow ... not being able to keep Turtle Lopez in front of you off the dribble , really ?
- Still afraid of taking open shots down the stretch ... Nets D was doing a great job at defending Kobe on the PNR , it was Pau job to make them pay
