Pau is struggling but so is Howard....coincidence? :freak2:

It will fit ( better than it does now, at least ), when the point guard comes back. No Nash and this team will struggle to reach the heights that we hoped it would.

Pau would still be a soft jump shooting [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.] under Phil triangle and Howard doesn't have the post pressence like Shaq either to be effective in that offense

6 points, 4 rebounds, pathetic effort. I can only stick up for Pau and try and be positive so much, his effort in MOST of our games this season, has been pathetic. He looks like he's over playing pro ball, he's just over it, but eh it's a living.

I've been a huge Pau Gasol fan since the day he joined the Lakers, one of my favorite Lakers, but this can't be tolerated. At 19 million there is no excuse for the coach to leave your [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.] on the bench because you keep getting owned on both ends of the floor. At this point I have more confidence in Sacre coming in and getting more production, and he's a rookie. He needs to man the eff up or it's time to go. Right now, I'm leaning towards the latter.

I'm pretty sure no major moves will be made until we see what the product looks like with Nash running the show.

But yeah...Mitch is probably already entertaining trade ideas with Pau as the centerpiece.

After today, Pau Gasol field goal percentage this season is 42.7%

I'm shocked that fans are not seeing this.

How can you put all your eggs in one basket? This isn't a young 30 year old Nash, we're expecting back. Its unfair to Nash to have these expectations that he will save this offense. And even if he does, there is certainly his minutes to consider for the postseason and there is also to health issue as well.

This offense is based off of your PG's strengths. You can't keep burning Kobe up to play a PG position and you can't put it all on Nash neither.

I admire how some of you want to believe this will work....but even if it does work, you're emphasizing the wrong components. That young guy that will become a FA should be the center piece on offense. Kobe will get his regardless, but you need to make him feel important. This offense will not do that for him, unless Nash deliberately makes it so.

I'll allow this to play out, but come postseason, we'll see how this all plays out and IMHO, it won't work out favorably for us.

Lol, what did D'Antoni just say when asked why Pau was benched at the end? "Well, I wanted to win this game." :man10:

Isn't this what some Laker fans were questioning in the first place? How does THIS roster fit this offense? It doesn't! So why did management believe THIS roster was made for it?

Now you have to trade Pau to make this offense work....which means our already low leverage on Pau's return, just gets even lower.

Once we see "Breaking News: Pau traded"...we most likely will not like the moving parts involved. Mitch's wand will probably still do wonders, but it won't bring in what it could have.

Gasol's biggest FAIL has been on D. Howard's been good on D every game, except for a couple of sequences.
Gasol's been struggling since the beggining of the season, except for one game I believe. Howard's already logged a couple of monster outings, and he's in around 80% shape..

I think it's time for a change, whether is Pau to the bench or him being traded. Jamison fits the system way better than Pau, and I think he would do just fine as a starter. I think the best option would be to trade Pau for some pieces. It would help bolster our bench and get players here that "fit" the system better.

Uh Pau is the culprit. He didn't do well in the playoffs under Phil, didn't do well under Mike Brown, and is not doing well...under 3 different head coaches hes struggling.
