Pau Thread: Surgery a success; now rehab & rest for 12 weeks

Pacers team already know it, they know Pau couldn't jump to block that layup in the last possession.

Everybody played bad today, he made a couple of plays that got us back into game, 4 FTs vs West, offensive rebound that found Kobe for 3 and pass to Dwight to tie the game. Im not as pissed at him today as I was last week but he needs to play better. Thats all

I didn't think it was possible for Pau to play worse than he has since our championship run ended. But the start of this season has just been horrific even by the low expectations I had coming into this season.

You don't need a score...you need a stop! Pau had no business being in the game on the final possession. You can't blame Pau there...that's all on D'Antoni.

The rest of the game though is fair game for criticism.

Trade him ASAP. Forget the offense, how he was a phantom all night, got blocked 4 times, passed it out like a girl, made bad decisions, etc. Forget all of that. His defense is reason enough to trade him. I say that after game 2 of the season. It's been 15 games total, NO ONE can argue against him being among the worst defensive starters in the league. Absolute trash.

it pains me to say it but it's clear he's done and there is nothing he can bring to the table for this team anymore

and at age 31-32 it's clear he's on the decline anyways

Pau is a great human being with a great heart & a great attitude, but he just no longer fits on this team, sad to say it but we need to get solid peices for him while we still can...

He is so slow. Wow

He just looks so lost out there on both ends of the floor. Anytime he's guarding an ISO he's in trouble. His reaction on D is so freakin slow.

He wasn't the worst player out there though I guess.

This. I get all the crap of D'Antoni taking the D from dwights name and putting it in his own. But this game showed the clear difference between having "defensive stoppers", and being "defensively competent". Just a stupid decision by d'antoni. First true lost due to coaching. Hopefully he learns from this...
