Houston needs that big man to take em to the next level with Lin and Harden.
And Houston has like some serious love for Pau. I really Hope Mitch starts to explore Houston

Hes still shooting a poor % from the field even after Nash has returned. Looking at his age and his contract along with our recent trade history who in their right mind is going to want Pau? I dont think we can even get bad contracts players for him. Right now we're stuck with him, lets just try to work out this marriage. He has no business finishing games unless hes playing well, D'Antoni was right all along that this dude is shaky in close games but gave him the benefit of hte doubt after the dinner and let him finish 2 of the last 3 games, Pau has not looked convincing on either end at all. Just use him on the team but dont let him finish games, hes too mentally fragile or whatever the hell is going on with him. Then trade him in the offseason when he becomes an expiring contract. Really disappointing what has happened to him, hes not even competing and battling any more thats the least he could, he wont even try harder.

It must be more frustrating for him to completely play away from the post, which is what he has done all his career & how we won 2 rings with him. It must affect him way more than we all think it is affecting him. You think he would shoot 40% from the field if he played in the post as much as he did during the championship years? He has been turned into a jump shooter, even a 3 point shooter, how do you expect him to still shoot 50%? He is being forced into a role he simply cannot play, you cannot force a player to play a certain way just because you need the floor stretched. Yes he is a professional but that doesn't mean he will automatically be a stretch 4 & shoot the same % from anywhere. I feel for Pau, the intensity isn't there, the passion is gone, he is not comfortable, and with reason.

3-9 Feet: 23% (38)
10-15 Feet: 17% (41)
16-23 Feet: 41% (38)
Threes: eFG% of 45 (54)
He hits one in five shots from three to fifteen feet. And he's only average at the rim. Look at his brother, by comparison:
73%-47%-44%-42%-nil
Or for a real post player, Bynum last year:
73%-43%-27%-26%-30%
Notice how the numbers are awesome inside and they get worse the farther out you go? Gasol is basically the opposite.
Bumping this so people can see that, Pau in the post =/= maximizing Pau.

I think you are missing the big point...
skill wise, Pau >>>> Lee. It's not even close.
motor wise, 3/10 of Lee out hustles Pau at full speed.
It's all about heart, passion, confidence, belief, and DESIRE. Pau does not want this anymore. If he did, he'd play much differently. Maybe stats are not a whole lot different overall, but our record would be.
Pau wants to play classical music, work in hospitals, and help people. That's a great thing for him as a person, but right now he is a basketball player, and that should be his passion. When your contract is up, then you can walk away 100% but right now 100% needs to be here, and I'm not sure it is.

GoldenKnight wrote:I still believe in Pau's post game, we just haven't seen enough of it lately to judge it. As soon as he fades 1 time while being in the post I see "LET'S TRADE PAU!" "DID YOU SEE! POST GAME IS GONE!" Small sample size, I want to see him more in the post before completely giving up on him.
