What sucks is that we have a coach who we have to adjust to instead of the other way, getting Z-Bo with Phil is beast, getting Z-Bo with D'Antoni, might as well go for Chandler Parsons, terrible hire.

Zach averaged 21 and 13 under Dantoni in NY before the clippers traded for him

Yeah I don't see why Zbo wouldn't work. Any PF who likes to shoot jumpers would work. Any PF who prefers to play inside, probably won't.

And he was coming off an injury when he put up those numbers in NY. Zach fit him fine with facing up, shooting, and hitting the glass.

Only reason Memphis would ever take Pau for him is to save the 15mil Zachs extra year would cost, but it isn't because Pau is or has been better than him the past three years or as a franchise player as a member of the Griz. Zach is better, just costs more and their news owner wants to build his own team

Well, think of it this way. If we did that trade, then Houston would have acquired Harden and traded Pau to OKC and then he would have returned to the Pau of old and destroyed us.

If Pau comes back in 2-3 games, & Dwight misses serious time.. He'll have a real chance to up his trade value before the deadline. I just hope they don't fall for it & keep him on. Mitch is smarter than that but is it his call? Hope so.

For now and for future, the only possible deal.

Maybe we can pull off a 3 way with Pau to T'Pups & Dwill2 + pieces to Memphis. We'd probably have to give up atleast Ron too. If we somehow come away with Gay + AK + a guard, that would be the type of move that changes the whole season. Memphis just needs to help us out 1 more time.

So we receive a bunch of offensive-minded players even though offense isn't our problem?

I don't see how this trade helps us. It's the defensive end that is killing us right now.

I think he'd work, but I'd rather get a SF like Gay. Say we do what I proposed, we have AK/Hill/Jamison at PF. I don't think trading for a better PF helps us as much as trading for a better SF. 2 traditional bigs isn't going to work with this system. It's not that Z-bo won't work.. He just isn't going to work as well with Dwight as an elite wing will.. D'antoni barely wants Dwight in the post let alone 2 guys. Z-Bo is better at that stretch 4 role than Pau but it's still not ideal for the system. AK is a near perfect fit.
