I was looking at the salaries for this year and next year. Pau's contract is a nightmare. I know we've all said it before but just looking at it, again; and then you put that in perspective with the way he's been playing, and I don't know how you even think about keeping him. I don't think that's an option anymore.

As I said in another thread, I don't believe we're making the playoffs this year, IMO. In order to maximize what we get out of Pau, we have to move his contract during the summer. A big fat $19,285,850 expiring contract. Unfortunately, I think management will make smaller deals this trade deadline but not of them involving Pau. We'll have to live with his putrid play this season.

any news on when he comes back? concussion should be all good by now i assume? kobe finished an allstar game with one and dont remember him missing too much time.

This, fans only vote for the starters, the reserves are selected based on their play this season, not if they were next in line with fan votes. Pau will not be an all-star unless a ton of other players are injured at the same time.

There's going to be a lot of changes. We have to try to do everything. If that works, we'll do it in a heartbeat. We (D'Antoni & Buss) talked about it, but they let me coach. It's pretty evident we'd like to get him more touches down there.

Can we just... move him to the bench? It's high time he realized Pau/Dwight doesn't work.

Lol.. Like I said he doesn't exactly help with the lack of athleticism & speed on defense.. But can you honestly say inserting him in the starting lineup isn't an improvement from Pau? D'antoni is never going to get anything out of Pau.. He's barely been getting Dwight the ball..

^ That's not true at all.

I will say this for the 5th time or so: I guarantee if you'd been hit by the same elbow in the same spot in the same situation you'd still be feeling it too. This is a strong seven foot man's elbow pointed directly at a danger zone for concussions.

I have no trouble believing he's in a lot of pain.
