Considering the fact that the Lakers pay Gasol 19M per it's not reasonable to look at the positves for 1 player and ignore the rest of his weaknesses.... you only do that to players who barely get the Mini-MLE exception.
This argument is brought up far too much. He makes what he makes, he doesn't deserve extra criticism because he makes more money, he earned that money by helping us get 2 titles. I do think he makes too much now, but oh well, nobody can change that. Complaining about his negatives all season long doesn't fix them either, it's just repetitive and old. He's been playing well, we're 3-0 without Howard and with Pau starting, so I choose to focus on the good he's done instead of the things he can't do like jump and protect the rim like Howard. He put up 20/10 the last 2 games starting and had 15 tonight before he went down and we're winning, so I'm good.
