Maybe, or it was simply too difficult to keep the guys focused and motivated. We have a lot of veterans and they have rings already. They are not hungry. I can (kind of) understand that.

Damn this is sad to see oh well. I appreciate the guy so much he really made his mark. I'd weep if he comes out of retirement to another team I swear I'd weep.

It's tough for one single coach to keep the team consistent and motivated, especially for today's NBA. Just look at Jerry Sloan leaving the Jazz franchise. That's all you need to know.

I suppose that explain part of Gasol's problem.

My take is the Lakers were getting the usual handicapping from the refs, but with Kobe injured and Pau not up to the challenge, it resulted in a sweep.
