Yet as I watched him Monday, I could not help think how little it mattered and how right he is. He is not fading into the shadows. He does not know how to go out that way.[.]

Phil already had his redemption. The two titles after the 2004 Finals was the redemption. He's done with coaching.

Anyways, enjoy your time from the game Phil.

He will be missed. Sometimes your players don't perform for you, but they almost always did for Phil, he had a way of maximizing talent, getting more out of Smush Paker than anyone could, making Trevor Ariza go from a bench rider to a legit starter on a championship team. Sad way for him to go out this year, but I'll always remember the 5 championships he coached us to, and all the great quotes.

I love Phil Jackson. LA fans have been spoiled by having some amazing coaches, at least during my lifetime (Riley and PJ are two of the greatest). I'm hoping we get someone who's the right person for the job, not simply an in-house hire or someone who is on good terms with Kobe.

Legendary coach. Sad to see him leave like this, but what he has done with this organization has been legendary.

It's been an awesome and legendary coaching career. Thank you for the memories: championships and the trolling of other people.
