Phil's Response to Red Auberbach's Dynasty Comments

On the "Phil Jackson Show" today, Phil responded to Red's claim that three titles in a row doesn't make the Lakers a dynasty. Phil felt that in this day and age three in a row constitutes one, but said it's for history to decide. In answer to another question...

Chris Meyer's: "What would you like to say in response to Red's comments?

Phil: "I would only hope when I'm his age that someone would take the cigar out of my mouth and pop in an oxygen tube so I could take a deep breath and think clearly."

I don't know about everyone else, but I dig Phil.

RIGHT ON PHIL, RIGHT ON! He is out of his element because there happens to be 30 fukin' teams now (-1 I know) instead of EIGHT....not to mention a cap and tax beaatcchh!

Yes the thing is, back then, the MOST of the greats couldn't contend with this era. I really don't think so. They wouldn't win 8 if they were playing in this era. Sweet yes, respectable, of course. But when it comes down to it, the Lakers pulled a three-peat off in the years of now. And now is pretty damn tough...

Yes... The competition is great now a days, and the rules are more complexed. Plus there's 82 games a season, and more teams
