LA's play by play duo will be Bill Macdonald & John Ireland

I use to enjoy watching Joel and Stu, but with Joel gone Stu seems more smug than ever.

I'm sticking to my original statement. Having NBALP and not being able to get FOX Sports West, I get to hear the other announcers every Laker away game. They are awful and I have had to mute some on occasions because of how bad they are. I haven't had to do that yet, for these two.

Glad to hear Stu is staying on.

Broadcasts just wouldn't be the same without him.

I loved Bill MacDonald.....at the halftime show. Move Spero up to do TV with Mycheal, put Joel back on the radio with Mycheal, where he had incredible chemistry. When the time is ready for Stu to retire, bring up MT to do the color commentating, and broadcast that both in radio and tv formats.

Secondly, please get rid of A. Martinez and "The Coach" Dave Miller at the postgame show. I have had more fun watching paint dry on walls than listening to these guys.

Billy Mac isn't that bad actually. Not as bad as I thought he would be, he has a natural flow to his commentary and compliments Stu very well. Joel & Stu always seemed kind of tense.

Double THIS. You guys are lucky to have Stu and Billy Mac every game. I have to listen to Portland/Bucks/Raps/Clips etc announcers on road games. I tell you I'm tempted to watch it on mute.

I dont get the hate unless people really haven't had to listen to a lot of other announcers. I think they work very good together and enjoy them. They aren't homers and call it like it is. It is what it is.

Yes, McDonald is a bit dorky and Lantz has to keep him in line but anyone listen to Lawler and Smith especially the latter? They both explode on EVERY play and thinks each one was the best they've ever seen. Both act more as cheerleaders instead of broadcasters though I Lawler doesn't bug me as much. The reason I watched the Laker-Clipper tussle instead of the ESPN version is a chance to hear the disappointment in their voices after the loss.

I love Stu, but we deserve better than Billy Mac, and I'm sure there are a lot of qualified announcers out there that would like the job. Hell, Ireland is better than Billy Mac.

McDonald is more of a host than a play by play announcer. I don't recall hearing that he has any experience in the field.

Yep, Ireland isn't bad on the radio. Play by play isn't the right gig for Billy Mac I'm afraid. Damn, wish we had Spero.

I can't help but compare everyone to Chick. No one is as good, but some guys really stand out as lame in that comparison. I don't mind the tone of Billy Mac's voice, but his catch phrases are an obvious attempt to carve out a few Chickisms for himself and when he says them it's like someone stabs an ice pick in my ear.

Listen to Austin Carr for a whole season....then come back to me on annoying one liners.

I'd rather listen to Joel and Stu, but I can't complain either way because, after an eight-year exile, I'm going to be returning to the Southland.

Soon, I will be able to watch all the games.

No more crappy streams for me!

Ehh not the greatest news, I wish Ireland did it with stu rather than Billy mac.
So does anyone know exactly how it is gonna work next year with TWC? Like if I have cox cable, are the new channels gonna come to cox?
