Funny... I love Billy Mac. I think he's doing a great job.

The chemistry between Stu and Billy Mac is far better than with Stu and Joel, in my opinion.

I don't really listen to McDonald. Only Stu's insights are worth paying attention to.

Thank you. Over the years here reading so many people hating on Stu and wanting to get someone else. GTFO. I think for the Lakers with his histroy of knowledge as a player here and color commentator for all these years, he is as good in that position as Chick was at play by play.

yeah the 'yes sir' is annoying. i was watching the 81 point game when it was replayed a week or so ago, and billy mac had some nice 'yes sir's going on in that game too

Man, I think Billy Mac is awful as a play by play. Just ... awkward. No grace. And his "cash, money" thing is just ... downright stupid.

Better than old man Joel Myers

I'm used to Billy Mac at this point. I don't like him, I don't dislike him, he's just there and I'm used to it. Sunderland was better, Meyers was better, Spero was better (and Chick was of course the greatest of all time), but Billy Mac could be worse I guess, at least he's not one of these blind homer announcers out there that are shameless about it.

He's pretty annoying from time to time, no question. Stu is awesome though.

Most of the play-by-play duos in the league kinda suck. Even though there's much about the Heat I don't like, I have to say their play-by-play guys are IMO the best. Very classy, very respectful to opposing players, they aren't homers at all (like the clippers' guys or many others), just overall great commentators.

Billy Mac isn't that great, but believe me guys it can be way worse. Those of you lucky enough to have league pass know what I'm talking about. If you guys listened to what other teams have for their "announcers" you'll realize that what we have here isn't that bad afterall.

That said, Joel Meyers > Billy Mac

I still can't believe a franchise like the Lakers have two dumbos doing their play by play. The more i listen to them, the more dumber i feel. Ireland kows absolutely nothing about basketball. He's a nice guy and all but wow, he's just so bad. Myers was a million times better. And Mac? Just listen to the guy without watching the tv and see how little insight he provides. Are these Jim Buss moves also in an effort to save money?

Gotta admit though, the presentation package and soundtrack is sharp. I get fired up at every commercial break, then they go indie film with the "win as one" promos. Damn.

I don't mind Ireland & enjoy his show but he asks some of the most annoying questions to the players.

Stu has a great understanding of the game, and he's no homer, so he calls the games pretty fairly. But he gets into coaching mode too much for my tastes. You know when a guy who used to coach uses the same phrases over and over, and goes back to the same criticisms/suggestions ad nauseum? Gets to me after a while.

Joel sounded too much like a 1940's radio voice to me, so I'm glad he's gone. Billy Mac seems really nice, but his bball knowledge is limited.

I'm watching games from other Teams on League Pass quite often (at least partial) and there are quite a few that are way worse than our duo:

Boston
Milwaukee
Clippers
Utah
Portland
Denver

Just to name a few...
