Satisfied? This is the Lakers, we had the best announcer in the history of the game for almost 40 years. After that we had very good announcers in Sunderland and Meyers, we don't settle for just anyone calling our games, and as far as announcing games goes, Bill Macdonald is just anyone. It's like they just reached out and grabbed the first employee they touched, rather than doing a search for the best out there. The announcer is a huge part of enjoying the game, and getting a crappy one takes some of the fun out of it. It's like when Mike Torico calls ABC Laker games, you can always turn to Spero on the radio instead, but not now, now you're screwed either way. Yes, Billy Mac called Kobe's 81 point game and did ok, but he just doesn't sound like an announcer, he sounds like a reporter, which he is.

John's doing play-by-play. Spero's out. There's a full article on Lakers.com that explains all of it.
