Imo, our season doesnt start till Nash comes back
I was going to bring that up, the 02-03 Lakers started 11-19 and finished 50-32 so it's not as though it would be impossible for us to turn it around. It's just highly unlikely if they don't figure out this Howard non sense. It wasn't like we were trading baskets with this team the entire game, we had a strong lead almost the entire way and once the lead dipped into single digits all it took was Hack-a-Howard to lose it.
dantoni was right about the previous game, and perhaps the same could be said about tonight: the game was lost before that big run. i dislike the stat geek revolution in basketball, but one thing that morey said that i buy is that good teams don't win close games, they avoid them. this one should have been a laugher with the way the lakers shut down harden. granted, that philosophy really only holds in the regular season, when good teams are significantly better than most of their opponents, but the point stands: it's a 48 minute game, and the lakers failed to capitalize on outplaying their opponent for 42 of those minutes.
