It's too bad Kobe had to pass Charles on a loss, but congrats.

He choked pretty badly tonight by the way. He was handled pretty well by the Blazers.

If things shake down as they have the past few seasons, Kobe will surpass Iverson's total by about 500 or so by the end of next season. Kobe would probably finish next season in 12th place.

well, I don't think Kobe can pass Jerry west unless every single series go to 7 games all the way up to the finals.

so by the end of this playoffs, I predict that he'll be 6th.

Oh definitely. I was just saying that because I've seen posters that said he'll be top 5 by the end of this season. He'd have to be superman to get that by the end of this season.

Kobe dropped 633 (2nd in Lakers' history to Shaq's 707) points throughout the playoffs last year. He'll probably get passed 600 this year, easily catapulting himself into 4,000 career playoffs points and 6th on the all-time list -- the general consensus around here and probably where he'll end up.
