Points: Kobe 4th All-Time; passes Wilt / MJ next

At the end of it all Kobe will end up 3rd-5th with a realistic shot at ending up 2nd all-time.

Does anyone even realize Kobe wasn't even a starter his first few years and didnt put up huge numbers. Now look at him, and he's still got alot of years of bball left too!

If kobe averages 25 in the next 5 seasons...

25x82=2050 (Points times regular season games)

2050 x 5= 10250 (Points in a regular season times 5 seasons)

23136 + 10250 = 33386 (Points he has now plus the points he'll gain in the next 5 seasons)

kobe will play more than 5 seasons. he has said he will play atleast 6-8 more.

so say he averages 25 ppg for the next 3 seasons = 6150
22ppg for the next 4 after that = 7216
+ about 700 for the rest of this season
=37202 if he plays 7 more seasons.

so i dont know what you are talking about

&& say he misses games... there is still a huge difference between 37 thousand and 33. stop selling him short.

i think Kobe should try to crack 40,000 points!

Yea. Most likely below. We have about 26 games left in the season, he averages 27 a game. That comes out to be about 700 points. So yea, about the 16th spot by the end of the season.

It's pretty much a given Kobe will end up top 5 all time in scoring. If he can pass MJ that would be amazing.

Yeah, Jordan and Malone can’t pass Kareem but most likely “KING” Labron James will break Kaarem Abdul Jabbar 38387 points record if he continues to play like where he was now.

Labron James was almost two years younger than Kobe to reach 12000 points, which was insane. Previously, Kobe was the youngest to reach that milestone. In fact, he will always be the youngest and fastest player to reach X points.

Kobe averaged 7 points and 15 points in his first and second seasons, considering he was not the main scoring option from the team. While Labron James entered to NBA at 18 and was immediately became the first option for his team, averaged 20 points per game in his rookie season. He has the big advantage over others which is having the greatest start ahead of anyone.

Will Kobe touch Kareem record? not likely, but for Labron James, yes

Labron is threatening Kareem 38387 points record, Kareem record is under serious threat.

LeBron most probably, will not get anywhere close to Kareem's record....Kareem played past 40 to get that record, and even in his late thirties was putting up 20+ pts.
