Man, that's like the 5th time I've been called out on it. I didn't realize it sounded so vague. What I meant was that I saw him either directly ahead, or behind Iverson. As in one spot ahead or behind. I kind of thought he might go into a scoring binge in the later part of the season.

^

IMO Lebron has gotta develop a post game in order for him to continue scoring at a high rate in his 30's. Durant is probably going to tear through this list in the future as well.

I'll say it forever. Until LeBron opens his offensive arsenal, he's not going to make it very far up the list.

Lebron's in the top 200 already. He's already passed people like Chauncey Billups and Cuttino Mobley. And he'll pass the Iron Man, AC Green by next game. Wow.

So you have no respect for career scoring averages I take it? All that matters is bulk points regardless of how long it takes?

I'm kind of glad he got 49. A 50 point game and an L is a depressing statistic.

Well I care because I thought that was the point of this thread?

Yes, they do need to win games, but they've won quite a few already. They've only lost 12 games all year long.

What are you laughing at? How can you claim Kobe has 'passed' MJ if it takes him 4-5 more years to score the same amount of points, and his scoring average is like 5 points below? This would seem pretty obvious that Jordan was still the better scorer.

The point is, who asks what his point total is right after we lost? I guess that's the line I draw for Kobe. He's my favorite player, but if we lose, I don't care if he scored 50 points, it means jack.

Don't worry Kobe's mind is set, he'll pass Parish this game, win or loss.

Jesus Christ, you can't be serious. He's talking about passing MJ on the all time scoring list. No where does he mention points per game.

I'm a little sad I didn't get to witness him pass Parish, but rest at this point is more important than my personal gratifications... *sigh*

Great job from Kobe today.

If Kobe played for 1 minute in the 4th, he would have had it. It was definitely close. At one point he was iced up, took off his ice to go back in, and then the bench guys opened the lead a little again. It easily could have been tonight.

Don't fret therealdeal, kray is on your side.

Kobe was jacking shots on consecutive posessions and bricking them...and I commented that he was going after the record to the detriment of the team...And you know how Phil feels about that nonsense. Good thing the bench put an end to that bs.
