It's sad that nothing is changed till now. Hope he can wake up after Pau and Nash coming back. Actually I dont think he will.

I'd honestly like to know what % of your almost 2,700 posts has included a Kobe bash. Whether he deserved it or not. 80%? 90%? 95%? :bang: One trick pony.

If you really watched Kobe's offense and defense in recent games, you should understand.

He only needs 347 playoff points to pass Jordan... If they make a deep run and he averages something like 28 points per game, that's 13 games. Who knows if they make it this season, but damn...

As for this season, if he were to keep up this pace (I think he'll drop a bit) he'll pass Wilt on March 13th in Atlanta. Crazy...

^ He's shooting 45-40-86 during that span. That's none too shabby.

Wow you're right, I didn't even think of that. Just crazy numbers. I think the shot attempts in the last 7 games (24.86) drops closer to his average of 20.7, but I also think his efficiency rises to about 47-48% once Nash is back at the helm.

This. Despite popular hater opinion, Kobe has been happy in the past to scale back and become more efficient. The problem is, if tthe rest of the team is playing poorly he only has one solution, and its to save the team himself with scoring.

Sometimes it works and he's the hero, and sometimes.... well...

By my count it's 18 games :man1:

But definitely he's close. It should happen by the end of the season at the latest... Wow. Then he's in the rarified air of the top 4. Next up Jordan. If he scores 26.6 points per game the rest of this season and into next season, he'll pass Jordan about 24 games into the 2013-2014 season.

And that's where he'll probably land. :man10: because I doubt he plays enough to catch up to Karl, let alone Kareem. Those guys are just way out in front.

To all the Kobe-deniers, it's getting harder and harder to ignore his accomplishments.

Passing Wilt will be nice, but i think everyone is eye-balling him passing Jordan. That should be pretty nice to see.

He's averaging 26 5 and 5 which has never been done by a player his age in the 17th season. Or at least that's what one of the announcers mentioned when we played Boston. Little under the radar accomplishment right there.

Kobe passed Jordan in assist total, so passing him in any other statistical category now is irrelevant since people don't take MJ serious anymore.

8 games away. March 22 vs Washington. Be interesting if it's a game later vs the Warriors.

122 points away from Wilt. With the ankle injury, it might take a litte longer than March 22nd. :bang:

It's always been a little surprising to me that Chamberlain isn't the #1 scorer by miles. At the end of the day it's all about how many total games you play and how many total minutes you log, but Wilt's scoring was just "Fully grown adult playing against 4th graders, and actually trying to win" levels of dominant, he has almost every other scoring accolade and unbreakable record possible, but in the big picture, just didn't play for long enough, didn't play enough games.

He also needs just 3 rebounds to pass also Wilt (6524) and also for becoming 4th all-time, in Lakers rebounds.
