Another good game from him. D needs work but can't argue with 18 points on 9 shots. He's attacking and getting to the line. 5 assists might not look like much, but his passes were often times turned into bricks and he got no assist, but did find the open man.

Oh well. It's not his fault Brown didn't want to play him with his lethal weapon Barnes tonight.

I personally believe sessions needs to be more agressive. He needs to make more plays to the basket. Penetrate a lot quicker. He is way to passive early on in the shot clock.

He created so many great looks for Pau tonight - only to watch Gasol brick every last one of them.

Gotta be frustrating. :bang:

Yeah he would've ended up with 8-9 assists if Pau just made his wide open shots :bang:

Also had that nice pass to MWP for the wide open three, but he clanked it.

Just glad we have this guy... or else this loss would turn us to despair without hope. A very bad thing.

Ramon with 18pts & 5ast, could have ended up with about 8-9 ast if it wasn't for Metta & Pau.
I am just glad we have the guy.
Remember, chemistry isn't built in a quick snap, sure they look better but the team will improve because they are still not 100% used to each other (Sessions+team)
Sure as hell looks like a way better outlook than a 37 year old starting for us heading into the playoffs.

Offense looks good. Defense - stop going under the pick on shooters.

^^ Agreed. Ramon was one of the only bright spots tonight. Very glad to have him. He made some big shots and plays but most of the game we were playing catch up due to our overall crappy play. For his part, I thought he did well.

People keep saying this but did they see Blake out there? Blake got scorched out there and in addition he kept turning the ball over. Ramon is nowhere near as bad on D as Blake is currently. NOWHERE near!

not to defend Ramon but lets be honest, there isn't that many PG in this league that has ability to lock down the opposing PG especially with today's no hand check rule. Just my IMO but I watch Westbrook D and as fast as he is, he absolutely blows on D too, he got owned by Barera on the PnR.

Over this weekend's pickup games, I think that my out-of-shape-arthritis-bunion toe defense was better than Steve Blake's defense.

We need to set the bar a little higher don't you think?

Certainly, but he's not going to just get through picks set by Marc Gasol - that's not reasonable to expect either. The guy is massive.

I agree that his D could use some work, but it's not matador. It's better than Farmar. I mean, it's better than Nash's too.

The way people keep saying it's like he's deficient in that department and I can't agree with that at all. Fisher didn't get around picks well either.

At least Ramon plays some decent D, and his guy doesn't blow by him.

LJ I think what you're seeing is just pure effort on Ramon's part. The guy is trying to play defense, he's just not necessarily that good at it. All we really need from him though is the effort he's been giving and that's what we're seeing.

I'm very much satisfied with his defense.

Sessions seems to be having a positive effect on other players shooting percentage too... This is an interesting little stat from this weeks Power Rankings on NBA.com.

L.A. Lakers (30-19)
Pace: 92.8 (20), Off: 102.3 (12), Def: 99.2 (10)
Matt Barnes is the guy benefiting most from the Ramon Sessions trade. Barnes has shot 20-for-39, 10-for-20 from 3-point range with Sessions on the floor. In fact, of the seven Lakers who have played at least 50 minutes with Sessions, six have shot better than 50 percent in those minutes.

He stays in front of guys..that's more than what I want.

I'm sure the one who is under is Kobe. :man12:

I knew the honeymoon woudn't last....Mike Clown is now coaching him into mediocrity. Having him walk the ball up and just set up an iso is a huge waste of his talent
