What are the chances of Portland beating the Clippers in LA? Praying...

Clipps still have to play in Sac the next day, so yes Mem does have something to play for. Win and there's a good chance Clipps lose in Sac and Mem gets HCA back.

Didn't know Clips play Thurs. Nice. Thats the best case scenario. Memphis, not knowing what will happen Thursday despite how Clippers play today, will have to give it their all. Sweet!

no one PLAYS THURS LAST GAME OF THE YR IS WEDS!! :disagree: LOL WTF NO ONE PLAYS THURS PLAYOFFS START SAT

Remember when T-Mac and Duncan wanted to play together in the early 2000s? Well its better late than never.

I don't see the T-Mac signing as a big deal, he's sat out the entire season. Honestly at this point I would think that even Glock could contribute as much as him, if not more.

Maybe I'm crazy, or just in denial.... BUT.

I honestly think the Lakers would have a shot at beating SA in a series...

And, with Denver mounting injuries, The Nuggets or Warriors in the 2nd round is also winnable...

It would take a monumental effort, but it's not totally unrealistic...

Not crazy at all. I think the Lakers can take out the Spurs if they play right. It won't be easy, it's not a foregone conclusion, but they can.

I also think if they somehow ended up against the Warriors they could win that series, but I don't know if they can.

Either way, it's not terribly outlandish to think that way. It's totally possible, just improbable.

We all saw how bad the offense was on Sunday. Give Pop some time to game plan against us in a playoff series and it won't be pretty.

Without Nash I think it would be a success to win 1 game. We just don't have the offense

that's the spirit! sheesh

our offense looking like crap isn't what stood out for me, it was the defensive effort they put forth and being able to win a game like that at the end

i'm glad that it was THAT type of ugly, defensive game that gave us a win...without Kobe and Nash in the playoffs, the team needs to adopt a belief that we're just gonna have to really slow the game down and take advantage of our last/only strength...and that's our bigs

if all our games are that defensively focused, we'll be alright...plus i dont count on Pau going 2-67 from the field every night

If we win Houston, I like our chances against the Spurs. I don't believe Tony or Manu or healthy; that will help tremendously. If Hill & Nash come back, our chances get even better. However, with what we have, we can definitely pull an upset, IMO.

Clippers should win this without too much trouble tonight. Memphis is going to be extra motivated tomorrow against Utah. And I'm sure they will watch the Clippers playing b2b in Sacramento.

Taking both sides of the ball into account, I'm not sure we're a worse team with Blake's minutes increasing & Duhon backing him up. Blake's chemistry with Dwight is going to be key without Kobe.. We need D12 in beast mode every game.

Sorry I just don't buy that Blake is good enough to reproduce that kind of effort game after game in the playoffs. He's not that good

Morris and Duhon have been benched for months now and will be thrown into the fire now. Duhon was hot garbage in the 4 minutes he played the other day and Morris...well let's just say if we have to rely on him to play extensive minutes we're screwed.

Nash gives a huge boost on offense that we desperately need with Kobe gone. I jsut don't see us having a chance without him.

do or die game tonight; i'm 90% sure utah is going to spank memphis. we'll see what these guys are made of against a team that, in theory, is a real problem for the lakers.

Possibly the Lakers' biggest game of the season. They control their own destiny. Win and they automatically get in. Win and you ensure playing against a far better matchup in San Antonio as opposed to OKC. Come on guys, just win tonight!! :jam2: Leave it all out there on the court. Do this thing for Kobe and the good Doctor. And for yourselves!
