We're doomed
I should get an assist for that. It's an intentional pass to oneself, so it's an assist. That way people can't say all I do is shoot.

Tony Parker came to play.

That's it, turn the lights off...
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Game 3 will be close. But the Spurs will find a way to win it. They got Parker back to his old self. Only chance Lakers had was for Parker to continue to play poorly. well that's not happening now.

What sucks is I really feel like we would have had a shot to win this series with a healthy Kobe.

You can tell these guys play hard and give 110% -- it keeps the game close for a while but then we simply run out of gas.

Will Kobe will be in the building and maybe on the court. More likely he'll be in the training room, but if he's able to be on the bench that should be a nice little lift to give our team with his ability to relay things a lot quicker instead of calling in at halftime.

Game 3 depends on if Blake is healthy or not; he's been playing great. if he can't go, we're losing.

How in the world people can thought that we were able to win this series (in 6,by the way)? We had a miserable season, and this series is done. Now my fear is being swept.

Eh, I'm not disappointed anymore. Any success this team has would be an overachievement. Spurs are flat out better in almost every area. In fact, at least 6 other teams in the conference are better. We shouldn't be surprised by an early playoff exit.

They have work to do next season if they want to be more than a mid seed playoff team who may or may not get past the first round. I don't see a coaching change, so they have to get younger and more athletic in a short period if they're going to contend.

Morris/Duhon
Goudelock/Ebanks
Metta/Clark
Pau/Jamison
Dwight/Hill

Let's just sit D12 & let Pau shine to up his trade value, this thing is over...

I know this is bad to say, but hearing all the injury news today.....can we just forfeit the series?

If Nash and Blake and Meeks are out, we are done. We have nothing else on our bench to back up unless Morris and Goudlock inherited special powers since last I saw them play.

it's hilarious all the hemming and hawing over 7th vs 8th, OKC or the Spurs...when in reality we will likely end up swept all the same.

This season is a wrap, they should let us call it a series after 3 games out of mercy and pity. Blake out, Nash out, Meeks out, that means we're counting on Morris, Glock, and Duhon, this is gonna be ugly. Dwight and Pau are gonna be forced to carry us, and Dwight doesn't have the offense, and Pau I don't believe can carry that much of a team anymore, he just looks worn out.

People confuse belief with hope. But no one would really have wagered anything of great value to them that the Lakers would have won this series.

Losing in 5 (my pick for this series), versus getting swept won't make a difference either. No one will remember this series later. And if they do, it'll be more about what we were reduced to because of injuries to Kobe, Nash, Blake, etc. The only time you really remember losses is when there was a REAL belief that you were supposed to win (i.e. Boston series, UGH).

we just need one of those weird nights where everything works...our shots fall, we get all the 50/50 balls...we even get a little better officiating

as much as i want this season to end, i'd like to be eliminated IN San Antonio...not at Staples

^^ Totally agree pound4pound. I want us to at least one of these home games. Going to be a very, very tall order though without any of our starting or first string backup backcourt players. No Nash, no Kobe, no Blake, no Meeks. It's down to our third and fourth stringers - Duhon, Morris, Goudelock. Well, here's hoping for a miracle.
