Interviewed on the Dan Patrick Show on ESPN Radio, Auerbach was asked if he rooted against Jackson and the Lakers.

"Absolutely," he said. :mad1:

As for the Lakers making changes after their elimination by the Spurs, Auerbach said, "You can't panic, but they probably will anyway. As long as Shaq and Kobe are on the roster the rest of the guys don't make much difference as long as they're healthy."

Oh, and about the end of that Laker dynasty?

"Three straight," Auerbach piped up, "isn't a dynasty."

I always new that great old Celtic team had an evil soul!

3 in 3 years isn't a dynasty? I guess the Celtics in the 80s weren't a dynasty then. They won 3 rings. Yo Red, I know it's hard to believe, but Kobe has as many rings as Bird, but Kobe has about 12 more years to get more. Frustrating, isn't it?

AHAHAHA, WOWW, u can literally see the panic, devistation, and the jeliousy coming out of [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.] auerbach's words. MAN, THERE WAS ONLY 2 TEAMS BACK THEN, AND THE PATHETIC CELTICS HAD 12 7 FOOTERS, WHILE THE OTHER TEAM WAS FULL OF GIRLS.

the lakers will forever be the best franchise in the NBA. Celtics have 2 more out of their [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.], it was back then, it didnt mean anything.

easily, this laker dynasty is the best of all time. MJ and his bulls could not have won 3 years in a row coming out of the west in this day in age.

He's just jealous of what Phil has done for the Lakers... He has 9 rings, and he can clearly get more with 2 of the best players in the NBA. He's angry cuz now Phil is the most winningist coach of all time. And if he says that gettin 3 in a row isn't a dynasty, he better check himself. In other words he's hatin on the Bulls and Lakers, and he gives it up to his Celts, cuz he was a paart of that. But his words are gonna come back and haunt him. He's talkin through his [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.], and u know what, people like him just add fuel to the Lakers' pilot. Change that coach of the year award to Phil. Even though he isn't retired, he's the best coach in history, and Red dont like that. Well face reality...... :man1:

Hey GRUMP just shut you pie-hole:

Once again he is just pissed because of the CURSE of LEN BIAS, which has prevented him from winning a title since 1986, which coincidentaly the same year that Len was the 2nd overall pick and his death from DRUGS. Kids, SAY NO TO DRUGS!!!!!!!

Maybe its his genius move of picking Pitino from Kentucky, that pissing him off.

Auerbach

Auerbach had his day. He had to win 2 series to win the title and he did that. He wants to dog Phil and his 9 rings, but Phil had to win 4 series for each ring and has a MUCH higher winning percent, MUCH more playoff wins, and will get that coveted 10th ring.

Let's not take anything away from Mr Boston (he had his time in the sun), but it's clearly passed him by. Now, he's simply a senial old man and we shouldn't put too much into it. He doesn't know what day it is, let alone what he's talking about.

P.S. Len Bias woulda been a GREAT player. He could do it all.
