Robert Sacre Discussion: last man standing

I was just going to say that. This guy is a hell of a teammate. He may be the best player we could have hoped for from the 60th pick. Solid guy, solid body, great teammate. What more do you want from the 14th man?

^I've noticed that too. Sacre is obviously grateful for the chance. I'd like to see him get spot minutes so he can refine his game and adjust to the pro style. Actually, I wouldn't mind him laying the lumber on someone.
Nor can the Lakers get blamed for always making the right decisions over decades. At some point its not just luck or "gamble", its superior management and superior ownership.

If you watch Chook's highlights and just watch him on the bench, the guy is up after EVERY basket and he's cheering like there's no tomorrow.

Great to see. Yeah, it'd be nice if he got some minutes. In an ideal world we'd be blowing teams out and he'd see the last 4-5 minutes or so and I think that'd be perfect for him.

That usually happened when Phil was coaching, ever since Brown got here, not so much.

Someone mentioned he's the new Turiaf on the bench during the gameday thread. I think that's spot on. I love that he's so into every play, cheering for his teammates. Every team needs one of these guys.

If you were being paid to watch Laker games courtside and got to play in pickup games with Kobe, you'd be pretty ecstatic too.

I was mistaken about this player. I thought Sacre would be one of those scrub fake tough-guys (Ryan Hollins), turns out he's the opposite.

He's actually well spoken and an enthusiastic teammate. And when he's on the floor he's a hustle guy, which has impact if you're 7 ft.

As a 3rd center, I think he offers plenty. Initially I wanted CDR over him, but I'm glad Sacre's on this squad.

Glad that he got some PT, although he should have been in the game earlier when we pretty much had the game in the bag.

Is it me or is it that every Zag we've had on the bench has been our Head Cheerleader?
