The coach said Monday that "Morrisanity" could be coming around the corner but hedged a bit Tuesday because Sacre is definitely starting while D'Antoni has not decided, at least publicly, whether Morris or Antawn Jamison will be with the first five.

"We’ll see," D'Antoni said. "You know what? Couldn’t be a better guy that deserves it because he’s over there, he’s the most energetic, best guy on the bench that you can have. So, it couldn’t happen to a better person as it did to Lin, it couldn’t happen to a better person. We’ll see. He’s got an opportunity. We’ll see if it strikes twice."

He just did a pre-game interview. dude is such a stoner. lol :pipe:

On a serious note, they asked him what Coach D'Antoni told he he wanted him to do today, and Sacre didnt really have an answer. Almost like he honestly didnt know what D'Antoni expects from him.

No biggie, but I've also noticed that same hesitation to that same question from Pau and Dwight.

I just keep noticing these little things that make me feel like D'Antoni is completely disconnected from this team. Maybe I'm looking to much into things though because of a rough season.

He can block shots... and Nash can make him look acceptable on offense. He looks like backup-worthy, or at least can be in the future.

blocked a lot of shots at first but 2nd half lost all his energy and just gave up like 4 and-1's

The dude is a rookie, in fact the last guy in the draft, starting for the Los Angeles Lakers. That was about as good as we could have hoped.

He started off great, but Houston adjusted and just beat him with their speed. I loved what he did though. It's not his fault we lost.

I've been pulling for this kid from day one, just ask Weezy :man10:

I think he's got career 3rd stringer written all over him. Good guy, great teammate, solid build and size. He's good enough to take a chunk of minutes if there's some injuries on the team. The guy is a keeper.

he annoys the hell out of me when he's doing his cheer routine on the bench

but his play surprised me and he actually had a decent game for being the last overall pick in the draft and a rookie. obviously he has alot of learning to do but if he can create an inside presence with dwight out, it would really help out this team

Dude has the tools to become a great low post defender, was able to keep Timmy from playing well. If he can work on his touch around the rim and recognizing when he should concede a layup/dunk instead of giving up an and-1, he may just have a future in this league.
I should get an assist for that. It's an intentional pass to oneself, so it's an assist. That way people can't say all I do is shoot.

^ Actually the reason he played less than Clark and Jamison is because despite his size, Timmy ate him up in that 2nd or 3rd quarter.

He was NOT efficient from the field today. Not at all. He expended a ton of energy trying, and failing, to defend Duncan. Not the kid's fault though, that's an assignment that's been beating teams for over a decade now. I love the kid's motor.

Sacre actually plays above my expectations. He has no hops, but he's strong and working extremely hard. He's a career backup, obviously, but a real backup who can have an NBA career for sure.

Who was more raw coming into their rookie season, Bynum or Sacre?

Sacre shows some signs of possessing quality fundamental basketball skills. Not out of the question he develops into a solid back-up in a couple of years. Technically speaking, he has more post moves than Dwight.

IMO Sacre sucks and doesn't belong in the NBA. He is a nice guy and all but he doesn't belong in the NBA.

Can't rebound, can't shoot with confidence, slow-footed, has no post moves whatsoever. Bynum was raw but he was a manchild. He didn't even need skills to push people around in the NBA.
