3rd year in a row we're giving McCants a workout. Mitch likes his UNC guys

The Los Angeles Lakers are working out Rashad McCants and Patrick Beverley today, one source told HoopsHype. Beverley was named MVP of the Eurocup (Europe's second most important continental competition) last season.

We could do worse for a 12-15 minute Kobe backup than McCants at Vet Min if he is in shape and focused on getting back into the league.

Beverley actually interests me. I remember when we drafted him in the 2nd round and quickly traded him. He is a young, quick point guard with a long wingspan if I remember correctly.

you should watch Hoop Dreams 2, he is one of the featured player that was documented, he's not very bright.

I think we should implement a rule since all 4 bench backcourt players suck, we should be allowed to play them all at once on designated areas of the court.....

Blake - Brings ball up (Can't cross halfcourt - only plays offense)

Morris - Penetrates and kicks (Can't go back on defense)

Glock - shoots 3's (Can't go back on defense)

DJO - plays defense ( Can't cross halfcourt)

Or just put them in a blender and you have a backup PG.

adding Blake into the blender is like adding broccoli to a fruit smoothy, just turns it into a green slop :man10:

yep, this one features Beverly and Sharon Collins with snippet of Derrick Rose in there since they all from the Chicago area. Not as good as 1st one IMO.

I'll take a few of those guys actually.

Flynn, Fisher (as a 3rd type of guy), Leandro Barbosa, Jodie Meeks, Martell Webster, Carlos Delfino, Alonzo Gee, Terrence Williams, Kenyon Martin, Anthony Tolliver, Lou Amundson, Dominic McGuire, Yi Jianlian, Hilton Armstrong, Ben Wallace, Greg Oden (if he can move), Mehmet Okur, Jermaine O'Neal, and Solomon Alabi.

All depending on cost of course.

I really don't want Fisher back on this team, I appreciate all he's done for us but it appears it's his time to retire.

I know I want him mostly for nostalgia. He'd be a great locker room presence for our team and he'd be a great 3rd string type of guy, I just don't think that he'd be alright with that.

PGs - Flynn

SGs - Meeks, Barbosa, Webster

SFs - Delfino, Gee, Pietrus, TWill, TMac, Childress, McGuire

PFs - Martin, Blatche, Amundson, Johnson

There's still good players available, no doubt about it.

Since it's clear that Kobe can't win a ring without him, we should all be rooting for Mitch to bring back Fish!

Martell Webster - Can play SG/SF. Pick one of the undersized PG/SG to develop and you are done. I know everyone wants Blake gone but it probably aint happening unless he can be dumped in a trade.

depending on who we trade, we could definitely use dome of those guys. If a Drew/McRoberts/Ebanks for Howard trade happens, I'd love us to go after: Barbosa, Webster, and Williams

Howard/Hill
Pau/Jamison
Artest/Williams/Webster
Kobe/Barbosa
Nash/Blake

think his ego/pride is still there, probably wouldn't like being a 3rd stringer, he thinks he can still play for another 2-3yrs

I know and that's the problem... He just doesn't understand where he's at in his career right now. It's too bad.

But who would any of us rather have as our 3rd string PG... Morris? Or Fisher?

Can't forget Michael redd

Preferrably I'd like a creator off the bench. Too bad baron Davis got hurt because he was playing awesome before he got hurt

T-Mac can create but he has some horrible voodoo on him and didn't play that great
