Gibson and Meeks are the same type of players right and Meeks can play better D?

It should actually be quite easy to cut loose Ebanks/Morris, but ownership seems to think it's a very difficult decision to make. :freak2:

Gibson
Meeks/Morris
Clark
Cunningham
Hill/Sacre

Not. Terrible. May be tough in the half court. How do they get Gasol off the books and sign a forward and back up guard for half that?

I hate that we are talking about next year but if we want to contend and keep Dwight the FO must have some sort of plan to add a nice mix of vets, athletes, speed, youth and shooting. Starts with moving Gasol at deadline or this summer for several short-contrat pieces.

Assuming we cut the dead weight in Ebanks/Morris and Jamison likely to leave, that will leave us with four open spots. If management plays it smart we should be able to get a relatively cheap bench that can produce. Hell we could do that now if they signed West or KM.

Boobie would be really nice as a backup PG in this system. He's a good shooter, a nice athlete, young and quick. He's a perfect fit for the system and would give us more than Morris ever could.

Boobie Gibson? Why aren't we talking about trading everyone for draft picks and starting over?

I hope the FO gets the point we need an effing bench. It's pathetic.

Nash can't get a break
Kobe can't get a break
Our defense turns to s*** when D12 comes out
No backup SF

I mean come on.

so good he's been getting DNP for one of the bottom feeding team in the league, guess he'll fit right in when he gets here :man10:

Clark got DNP on THIS team, he was playing in Orl if you think Gibson is a PG they you should re-evaluate what a PG is. He was only useful being that stand in the corner shooting PG, once James left he's been riding the pine in favor of less one dimensional players. We'll find out I guess wont we, I made my gripe bout Meeks too when we signed him but just brushed it off cause he's that "floor spacer" I bet it wont be long if we did get Boobie he'll be relegated to the pine just like Meeks was.

Look up the average minutes played by Clark in Orlando. Look up how many minutes he played for them total and how many DNPs he had. Clark has NEVER gotten the opportunity he's getting here.

and he wouldn't have gotten that opportunity had it not been for injuries. Its not as if he was so great in practice that coaches had no choice. His situation is NOT even comparable to Gibson, he's the oppposite, Gibson was a regular starter, then a regular bench and now getting DNP's, this isn't some rookie or young player like Hill/Clark who had to learn their nitch in this league, this is a guy who had a nitch and now has regressed to the point where he can't even get off the pine on a horrible team.

I think the owners are putting the onus on the Big 4 to figure it out. Like they always have they've always put pressure on the core of the team to get it together and elevate their play of the teammates (just like 2011 thats why we remained still). It hasn't happened unfortunately. Gasol is declining fast. Howard is not healthy (he looks stiff kinda like Ron did in 2012 when he had some nerve issues in the back). Kobe is struggling. Nash looks gassed. Rest of the team are not contributing much outside of Clark.

You mean like Gasol? A 19 million dollar player and champion now on the bench? Things change. It's that sime.

well, we've been complaining bout D, I dont think Gibson fits that mold honestly and like I said he's as far from a PG as Morris is, maybe more so cause he doesn't create at ALL.

Play inside out using Dwight/Pau more. Slow down the pace. Play Meeks.
