1.) This tells me Morris/Ebanks probably won't be back next season if they are looking to get dumped for 2nd round picks just to free roster spots up. YAHOO!!! Blake and Duhon might have to get packaged in a bigger deal, but who knows.

2.) I hope we can move one of those guys for a big, I know a daunting task, but that's what I hope.

3.) Why are we trying to open roster spots up. :man12:

interesting for sure, I thought we already had roster room space with Hill injury.

If we're trying to move Blake, why not move him and Ebanks for Tyreke Evans? He's better than any second round draft pick we'd get.
This game's in the refrigerator, the door is closed, the lights are out, the eggs are cooling, the butter's getting hard, and the Jell-O's jigglin'!

Boston, Chicago and Golden State are all within 4M of the luxury tax threshold.

I'm thinking they would be the most active in shedding payroll right up to the deadline....then its buyout time.

Meanwhile Cleveland, Houston and Phoenix are prepared to take on substantial salary cause they're hovering around the salary min.

Not sure if Amico is trolling:

Lakers willing to move Steve Blake or Chris Duhon for 2nd-rd pick, eyeing Pacers' DJ Augustin and Cavs' Daniel Gibson, source says.

Here's why we're trying to make roster space:

Alex Kennedy: Derek Fisher has been training with @Joe_Abunassar in Las Vegas. It sounds like the 38-year-old is looking to play again this season. Twitter @AlexKennedyNBA
In the real world, the day Steph awoke at 9 a.m. to begin his Ustream show, Kobe Bryant probably awoke at the same time, even if it was 6 a.m. in California, and lifted weights.

Other than Woj, only other LA insider I trust is the Bres:

If the Lakers make a trade today (they won't), I'll let columnist @TJ Simers take over my Twitter account for a day.

w/o picks you usually wouldn't get an expiring contract player like Gibson anyways, just like Ramon last year.

But you can't be real, deal'n that nonsense to me?

Any other competent coach gets this roster above .500 this late in the season. You got talent all over the place to counter with the injuries. No way, no how is this roster supposed to be sub .500 with the early favorable schedule we have had so far.

If Mitch brings in a big to fill the roster spot, will D'Antoni give that big PT? Methinks not...hence, D'Antoni will find a way to screw it up.

Get used to hearing Bell for 3...

Like I said: since we've started winning he's using this roster just fine. Since we've gone 9-13 or something like that, he's done just fine with every single piece he has with the very minute possibility of Ebanks. But given that Ebanks has turned out to be a total knucklehead, I can forgive that.

Let me phrase it this way: which player has he MISUSED during our win streak?

Let's see, where do I pick from....when the best shooting guard in the league is taking over the role of the 4th leading assist guy in history, meanwhile you got the best roll guy in the league getting lack of touches in an offense known for the pick n roll...something ain't rolling right.

The PnR has led to bad PR (aka players' roles)...and not to mention with the fans (but I guess not all of us).

So it's D'Antoni's fault entirely that Dwight doesn't want to play the pick and roll?

If Kobe's taking over the job of the 4th best assist man in history, but the team is winning that's also wrong?

We're winning games. That's what's important.

I know you hate D'Antoni, but some of this is simply misplaced. I can't hold D'Antoni responsible for Dwight's stubbornness. At least not 100%. And especially if we're winning doing whatever the hell we're doing.
