Trying to remember who the first guy was CL. Marcus Banks maybe?

On ESPN, Magic and the fellas on NBA Countdown were talking "fantasy" trades and Magic's suggestion was Pau for Josh Smith. We've seen this trade rumor before.
Saves money & you get more flexibility with Josh being an expirng, makes you younger and more athletic, he's Dwight's boy and lastly weak side defense gets better. You obviously lose a high IQ player and a great teammate in Pau. Where you get better defensively, you lose Pau's great offensive game.
I'm not sure I would do it right now...but it's interesting moving forward...especially since Magic has hinted at potential Lakers moves and for the most part they have come to fruition.

i would do that trade in an instant.karacha wrote:Pau might be sleepwalking right now, but his passing ability is something we can use. He makes Dwight better with those nifty passes. His D doesn't look good though.

Weezy wrote:I don't think I'd trade even a washed up Pau for Josh Smith . For one thing, Pau is a legit 7 footer, he can play both PF and C, and he's a very smart player and good passer. Lastly, we ask for him to be more aggressive sometimes, but at least he's not a chucker, throwing up and bricking 3s all the time. I'd rather keep Pau if the best we can do is Josh Smith, or maybe trade Pau for a couple of solid young players with potential.
Dunks we'd get........ raviator wrote:Besides didn't Kobe say as long as he's here, Pau would be too? Also do we really want Pau to start worrying about being traded again after he's moved past all the rumors last year?
Rooscooter wrote:Pau for 2 or 3 players would be a good deal IMHO.... Give me a serviceable big that can play PF and C.... a SF that can create his own shot and shoot the 3 and a real back-up level point guard and you can have Pau, Ebanks and Blake.....
