Bucks Offering Samuel Dalembert In Trade Talks

Marc Stein ‏@ESPNSteinLine

Word is Bucks have been shopping Sam Dalembert thanks to emergence of Larry Sanders. Let's see if Sammy's 35 & 12 has impact on interest

Marc Stein ‏@ESPNSteinLine

Bucks' appetite to trade Dalembert, however, could likewise be impacted by Larry Sanders' injury last night. Might feel they need him again

I'd take Dalambert for sure if they'd trade him for our junk. :mhihi:

I don't see how we get Dalembert but that's a great addition if Mitch figures it out. Really opens the door for a Pau deal also. If he's only out a couple weeks, we could find a team willing to waive the physical.. I love what Pau's been giving us but he's never going to play enough next to Dwight. If we get a legit backup C like Dalembert, we'll be better off trading Pau for a young SF who can score & defend packaged with some athletic depth.

before Pau went down I posted in trade thread of
Pau, Fillers
for
Monta, Dalembert, Dunleavy

reading Bucks realgm forum, this would've been a viable option as they needed a post presence like Pau and Monta/Jennings are clearly not a good fitting backup court on either side of the ball. Those 3 bucks would've made our bench extremely deep in addition to not even affecting our 2014 plan.

That's a mighty crowded backcourt.. I'd take that deal & see what I could get for Monta from a 3rd team. Knowing D'antoni we keep Monta & start Kobe at SF. Might not be the worst idea.. We might as well give them Meeks as part of that filler, Dunleavy & Kobe would need every minute available at SG to make room for Ron. I can't see Dunleavy missing all those open 3's Meeks has.

Greg Oden is actually perfect. He'll only last a couple weeks anyway.

with that scenario I would play all 3 guys off the bench maybe start Dunleavy @ SF for better spacing. But Monta off the bench would be deadly, he didn't have a problem with it during his GSW days doing that.

Isn't Greg Oden planning to play next season not this.

that's what I thought I read too. He said that he would be willing to sign with a team this year, but would only rehab this his year and play next.

Well... if they were willing to part with one of them I suppose I'd go after Ellis.

Ellis/Dalembert for Gasol.

But with Gasol potentially missing time, I don't see them doing that anymore. Not to mention, Gasol has been great since his movement to the bench.

yes its no longer an option now but its a solid package if it were available, borderline great if Dunleavy was part of it. Pau has had a better stretch but we know he can go back to that bad Pau anytime and his attitude/comments dont see all to great for his future here anyways and now he's plague with injuries one after another.

It might be something revisited in the off-season. We're probably going to try to unload Pau for a bunch of cheaper options though so I'm not sure if Ellis would fit that equation.

We're going to have to re-sign Clark and he's demanding more and more money each day. Add onto the luxury tax and I don't see us bringing back 19 million in contracts. Maybe 10 million total in salaries.

mmm, me likes Pau/Blake for Ellis/Dalembert/Udrih

Howard/Dalembert
Clark/Jamison
Metta/Meeks/Ebanks
Kobe/Ellis
Nash/Udrih/Duhon

Dalembert would be a nice backup. He's OK with 15 mpg, will give you 7/6 or something similar consistently, will block shots and hit FTs.

Milw would've been a great trading partner if not for Pau's injury.

What are Duhon/Ebanks contracts like? I swear we gave someone a 1 year deal out of either Morris or Duhon...

Management has to be looking at various scenarios which can bring us a big, whether it's via free agency or trade we'll find out soon.

What is Milw's motive for trading those guys, salary dump or talent improvement?

The only long and relatively expensive contracts are Aliensova at 7.9x5yrs and Gooden at 6.6x3yrs. Everyone else of note is on 1 or 2 year deals.

Dalembert is also expiring, our junks wouldn't get it done anyways.

Anybody know of any big's that went to China?
