Roster Improvement: Free Agents Now and Later?

i dont think we can be picky at this point. we just need a PF/C to come in a play D, play with energy, and crash the boards. if he gets a layup thats to nash or a putback or easy shot when the d rotates off him to a driving kobe than so be it.

I like Sacre but he doesnt jump nearly enough and is just too inexperienced to play big minutes. Kenyon Martin may not be the best for team chemistry or who knows he may fit well with the roster who knows?...but hes our best bet and he'll bring it every second like he has his entire career.

just shows how important a "pre-laker" nobody like jordan hill is to this team now. sucks we've had so many injuries!

that was just speculations that he wouldn't get traded with Howard deal that is why he waited to resign. I do not think Mitch gave this guy a "verbal" no trade clause. I really dont think Mitch would give most player that type of deal especially not some avg. 2nd player like Ebanks. Below is what I get on trade checker on realgm if you try to trade Ebanks....even Morris has this restriction

I usually would say no to K-Mart but he wouldn't be a bad pick up right now if we can't swing a deal for a big guy off the bench.

Not really a great shortlist.

I like Lou. He killed it in Phoenix with Nash. (Relatively speaking for a backup C)

Honestly, I think with the emergence of Chris Johnson backing up Pek, combined with the fact that they don't really have wing players, an Ebanks/Lou swap makes sense.

Good call. He's a nice hustle guy who fits in the MDA system well.

Why not. Jamison or Clark at the 5 is just a no go.

there's waiver priorities I bet, we're probably bottom of the list due to our salary cap being the highest.

Amundson would be a pretty good pick up. He is always annoying to me vs our team because of his hustle. I would mind having him around to annoy other teams.

We can't keep playing with those small line ups, second, third, fourth chance points kill us.

Jamison couldn't even guard Green last night. It was embarrassing.

Amundson would be a solid pickup imo. He has experience with D'antoni & Nash, did pretty well as backup C with them. We need a big who plays defense other than Dwight with Pau out. Pau is actually a great defender when you compare him to say, Jamison.

I would be fine with KMart but I agree. Amundson would provide the energy without some of the baggage that KMart brings. Plus he's played with Nash if I'm not mistaken, though I'm starting to think that counts for less and less these days

It also did against Brooklyn...

Amundson is a hard worker and a hustler, which is what we need he would dit well with Nash. However, he is not a center.
