Agreed! That would almost make me forget about Puke Walton.

Bobcats Interested In Andrea Bargnani For Ben Gordon

Bobcats Interested In Andrea Bargnani For Ben Gordon

Marc Stein ‏@ESPNSteinLine

All-Star Weekend trade rumble: Charlotte's growing determination to move Ben Gordon has presented Toronto w/another Andrea Bargnani suitor

https://twitter.com/ESPNSteinLine/statu ... 6232438784

Marc Stein ‏@ESPNSteinLine

Sense I get, though, is that Toronto ain't gonna bite on Bargs-for-Gordon deal. Raps have Terrence Ross & Alan Anderson playing well there

Marc Stein ‏@ESPNSteinLine

Gordon easier to take back $-wise than Boozer w/one less year on deal, but Raps unlikely to just trade ex-No. 1 overall pick for sake of it

No...

The problem with NY they have a good roster but is running the wrong system... The problem with LA is the roster itself... Nash and D12 needs their shooters... Pau/D12 cannot play together, and Odom is sorely missed... They are also too old and too slow on both ends...

Hopefully doesn't end up happening...

The Los Angeles Clippers and Utah Jazz are discussing a trade centered on Eric Bledsoe for Paul Millsap.

Bledsoe is the Clippers' best asset to be moved, though two sources with knowledge of the team's thinking predicted he would not be moved.

Millsap will be a free agent this offseason and the Jazz want to build around a younger core.

^Yeah, I read that. What's interesting is the Lakers haven't been linked to anything substantial as of yet. Maybe they are staying the course with this team. IMO, with the roster we currently have, we are not making the PO's.

Remember that term "on paper"? That was widely tossed around when this LA team was assembled. On paper, one of the most talented teams in the league...if not THE most talented. Then you get the wrong system installed and we have this garbage. Pau and Kobe both ave played with Phil...and won! You know how Peaceful it would be not watching #15 fling up every 3ball available to him? With Phil at the helm, players were reigned in if they went off the deep end, but with MDA...let it rain!

Dwight would be highlighted in the post while you have a smart guard and a hell of a shooter in Nash on the perimeter...envision a Paxson/Kerr type with handles...dangerous working in a motion offense like the tri. Lastly, lets not forget that based off the strengths he had on his roster, Phil allowed modifications to the tri. We ran more and broke away from slowing tempo when we had athletes like Ariza and Shannon on our team.

This team is old, so do you think a run and gun offense like Mike's fits this team? Yet the FO thought it did and we're now paying dearly for it.

There are some good bigs available right now, but the FO won't bring in more talent that will just get buried on the bench since they can't run and gun in this system.

You're right about the system or lack thereof & our lame-duck coach. It's a disaster. That's one of the reasons we're not making the PO's, IMO. However, there was a reason that people said that team had talent, "on paper." Pau has declined since Phil left in 2011. Whether it's healthy, fear of being traded, or whatever the case may be, the Pau that we won with will never resurface.

He may look good on offense for a stretch of games but his defense was putrid. It's not that he wasn't making the effort; I believe he was but his body has slowed down tremendously. Even with the Triangle, Pau would have struggled with his health. There is no system that could have helped with that.

"Dwight highlighted in the post," as you said is not the most efficient way to get Dwight easy looks at the rim. He's not a very good in straight 1 on 1 post-ups. It would have made Dwight happy to be highlighted; I just don't think he's most effective in that capacity offensively, IMO.

We do need another coach, though. We also need changes within this roster to get a little younger & more athletic, IMO...

All that you say is true...but we'll never truly know...which is unfortunate. Out of Kobe, Nash and Pau, it can be argued that Dwight was the recipient of well placed passes the most from the Spaniard. That twin tower look probably looks the best and would have worked with the triangle in place. One thing is certain...they tried it D'Antoni's way and it just isn't working.

Another thing that seems very evident (at least to me) is that this team just doesn't try hard enough. It's almost like they don't believe in what they're doing. They have no identity...they have no bravado and commitment towards their coach and each other. If not the Zen, then probably a Jeff van Gundy...but any established coach is better than this nonsense.

I'm a firm believer that it starts up top. This team early clearly has the talent...the just need the direction...and presently it seems that they're being told to run run run the wrong way.

^Agreed. It's unfortunate that we'll never know. Even with the hiring of D'Antoni, I was trying to support him & stay positive. It just hasn't worked out for anybody. Given this roster to a more capable coach who can handle the ego's & strong personalities would be our best bet going forward.

If Dwight re-signs, our roster still doesn't need a massive shakeup; although, I do believe Pau will be traded & another SF to replace Metta should be priority. Additionally, we need more depth on our bench. We can't be so top heavy.

Tracy McGrady And Gilbert Arenas Are Now Free Agents

Tracy McGrady And Gilbert Arenas Are Now Free Agents

So, since both of their teams failed to make the Chinese League playoffs (T-Mac could not even make it to the first round in China)...........they are both now free agents.

T-Mac's stats on an 8-24 Chinese team (17th place out of 17 CBA teams):

http://www.asia-basket.com/team.asp?...am=7300&Page=3

Agent Zero's stats on a 14-22 Chinese team (14th place out of 17 CBA teams):

http://www.asia-basket.com/team.asp?...am=1950&Page=3

Any takers?

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
While serious trade talks will kick in tomorrow for most team, biggest name in play appears to be Josh Smith... not much more after him.

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
From what some executives are saying, not nearly the traction on trade talks as in previous years... the buyers are too tax conscious

There are some guys who can be had, but major blockbuster type deals do not appear to be coming, mainly smaller roster management deals

so i dont really get the point of requesting the disabled player exception if we're not going to use it. does it have any monetary benefit if we don't sign someone/trade for someone with it?
