The Kings are working on a buyout with Aaron Brooks, according to @mr_jasonjones. Rockets could be interested, they pursued him this summer.

It would be a nice pickup. Mainly because by picking him up, we will be assured he won't play against us.... That's one of those guys who always play well against the Lakers.

I don't think we can count on Morris or Duhon. Blake is playing good ball right now, but he is available in trade talks. We'll need a good PG soon, to play with Dwight and Love, hehe.

Raja Bell will not take buyout from Utah Jazz, agent tells @sltrib. Buyout was predicated on finding offer from another team, Bell did not.

Doesn't look like we'll be signing anyone this season. What we see is what we get.

What I don't get is, at this point the front office is faced with the very real possibility (in fact a near statistical certainty at this point) that we miss the playoffs = Millions of LOST REVENUE.

A small investment right now could mean two home playoff games...MAYBE MORE.

We need to either play Sacre and Ebanks, or sign a cheap player that can somehow solve our C and SF issues...NOT gonna happen, but nonetheless.

I, personally, believe that Sacre is good enough to play behind Dwight and that Ebanks can be our back-up to Metta, but Antoni WON'T to play them.

Maybe we have to add another player that MD will actually PLAY.

Our biggest problem isn't depth, it's Antoni playing too few players on a nightly basis.

I don't think we NEED to add any NEW players, we just need the new Head Coach (Pringles) to do what the old Head Coach (Potato Head) wouldn't...PLAY THE PLAYERS WE HAVE.

We have to accept that the players we have are what they are and give them a chance to make the most of their skills/opportunities.

Look how much better Meeks and Jamison have been playing since they are getting REGULAR MINUTES.

We need to develop our bench, no matter WHO they are...that applies to Sacre and Ebanks, even Duhon sometimes, as much as Jodie or the CockRoach.

I'd even use Morris as a backcourt defender and rebounder against certain players, and in certain games...like the second night of a back to back [see Gregg Popovich]

We CANNOT keep playing 8, or ocassionally 9, players every game. It will KILL us. It already has weakened us to a great extent so far this season. Will Antoni let his stubborn adherence to a tiny rotation finish us off???

Only teams below the cap max (58M) can put out claims to pick him up off the waiver wire. After that, he effectively becomes a FA and can choose any contract to join any team. All we have is the remaining mini-MLE (roughly 800K) to offer or a vet. min of about 1.2M (but will be less since it will be prorated).

Deadline has passed and Raja Bell didn't get a buyout. Lakers need to look to sign a center.

Is Amundson still available? I'd love to get some backup big. Backup SF would have been nice but I don't know if there's anyone out there who would be worth going after.

I am not a fan of Bell, but I would have been up for getting him just because we have no one at backup SF and at least MDA would have probably played him.

But we could really use a big until Pau comes back.

We're not going to sign anyone guys. We're simply waiting for Gasol to come back... if we make the playoffs, that is. MDA will play 9 guys, and that's already more then average for him: Nash/Blake/Kobe/Meeks/Metta/Jamison/Clark/Dwight/Gasol. Solid rotation. If we had Hill, he wouldn't know what to do with all those guys.
