Realistically even if we find a taker for Pau we would most likely have to absorb a veteran deal of some sort.

Who knows what they are thinking but I see no way to rebuild a championship roster in 2014 when we go under the cap.... Howard's deal along with a re-signed Kobe will preclude us from being able to offer a max slot to anyone much less fill out a roster with the quality shooters needed to create space for Howard.

I don't see top tier free agents moving around much anymore.... the new CBA puts up to 30 Million reasons to stay put in the hands of the owners as insurance that the best players don't walk or create super teams like the recent past.

That's bulls***.

1.) Willie Green got traded to the Clips for a damn TPE and 2nd round player that will never play in the US. Would he have helped? Hell yes.

2.) NateRob / Webster / CJ Watson / Delonte / Mike James, CJ Miles / Livingston / Brian Roberts / R.Brewer.

3.) Midseason pick ups of Birdman, Martin

4.) FO deciding to re-sign Morris and Ebanks effectively put us out of the running for guys in point 1 and 2

5.) Reluctance of trading Pau has cost us some good young youthful players

6.) Missed the chance to get Beasley and instead traded the TPE and all our picks for a 40 year old PG.

7.) Dumba** coaching hires have cost us players (Barnes and pushed others out the door Jamison). Who wants to play for Mike Brown, who wants to play for Phil Jackson? There's a difference.

It's hard to get youthful and get better with cheap deals when you have basically went in the other direction in terms of achieving that goal.

At least one of the following MUST be in the purple and gold next season if Dwight's stays: Korver, Morrow, James Jones, JJ Redick.

Going forward we have to have shooters who can make teams pay for doubling and tripling Dwight. Also guys Nash can find in the corner.

As much as I would love to give LO another chance to be a Laker, does he have anything left? and is it even possible? Clippers have him under contract for another year no?

al horford + devin harris for pau, atlanta are in full on rebuilding mode, so they might want this huge 19m expiring chance

-Horford is as good as it gets at the pick-n-pop off of the pick and roll.
- He shoots the 10-15ftr as goodas any big man which is what a PF needs to do beside Howard
-Horford is dominant on the defensive end at his natural position of PF.

-devin harris,we all see what he can do in dallas
- back up to nash, can play as a undersize sg,
- him and blake as the back up back court will have some good scoring.

This is a completely highpothetical question. If Clippers lose in first round and CP3 wants out what could you come up with to get him here? Could we amnesty Pau and Sign CP3 and D12 to take a little less like LeBron and Co.? Hmm..... LOL I'm still bitter bout them basketball reasons!

Not possible unless he takes our mini MLE. We could even amnesty Kobe and have no cap space to sign him.

I'll add one. Jimmer Fredette, who should be real cheap.

I couldn't agree more Doc.

There are many players available around our budget who could greatly help improve our bench/depth. Whether the FO realizes this or not is up to them, but if they open their eyes it should be clear what help is available.

Blake has upped his trade value immensely. Pau's has risen too. Those are our 2 trade assets.
We need a 6th man type player off the bench and shooters all over.

Blake, Duhon, 2nd for Ariza
Wiz get a useful backup who can contribute and be a solid vet to back J Wall and get a 2nd to boot.
We get our starting defensive SF

Amnesty MWP

mMLE on Nate Rob
Not sure if he'll get much more. For some reason he has a stigma that he's a cance even when contributing. Maybe the chance to finally be a 6th man entices him here.

Vet Min on Mike Dunleavy

Vet Min on Lamar Odom

Howard/Hill/Sacre
Pau/LO/Clark
Ariza/Dunleavy
Kobe/Meeks
Nash/Nate

Don't bother ... another year with the same old roster with no speed , athleticism and youth is coming ...

wish we developed ebanks. kid has talent and playing time could have maybe fixed his sour attitude. that dui and mike brown to dantoni change really screwed him over. showed promise just messed up like rookie bc of lack of time. oh well could have been the length & athleticism we needed. oh well lakers dont really develop now a days

^^ Please...... Ebanks didn't have the drive and willingness to really develop into anything. I know he didn't get a fair shot, but he never really pushed harder to prove anybody wrong.

Lopez

for me its a no brianer some buisness has to be done with the Jazz. they have too many bigs and Paul Milsap could be a great fit next to Howard. he can score from the outside, rebound, works very hard. and with him a deal to bring mo williams to be our sixth man of the bench will be great.

how you gona get either one? when BOTH are FA's to be and we CANT do a S&T for them due to the new restriction that kicks in this off-season that prevent teams that are $4mill over luxury threshold from receiving players that require a S&T.

both have earned contracts in the $5MM range but MAYBE one of them would be willing to take less and settle for the mMLE.

The one thing this offseason can bring us is solid bench players at a good price. We won't be finding any JR Swish or Jamal Crawfords (unless Nate would sign) but we can round out our bench nicely.

Realistic? No. Not next year. He'd have to demand his way here somehow and that could take years since we don't have many assets that other teams want.

Realistically I think his best shot at coming here would be to sign a 1-2 year deal with the Clippers, then come here in FA next season or in 2015.

But with his shaky injury history, I think it's unlikely he leaves the Clippers and their guaranteed money.

I'm hoping with Harrison Barnes emergence this playoffs, GSW might consider Rush expendable, he could be our starting 3.

I was thinking about this, but they have so many bigs...what would they want with Pau?

Right now they only have Favors and Kanter. Kanter is still a back up, but they might be ready to start Favors. Milsap and Jefferson are off the books. They absolutely are re-signing one. We can't get either via free-agency, so the only way would be through sign and trade.

Like I said, don't know where Gasol fits. If they want cap space, they're better of letting Milsap walk and re-sign Jefferson and start Favors.

But they might have some interest in Nash. They don't really have a point guard on the books (Jamaal Tinsley)....Nash could work with their bigs.

WE CANNOT DO SIGN AND TRADES FOR INCOMING PLAYERS IF WE ARE OVER THE CAP. WE ARE OVER THE CAP. IF THEY ARE A FA THIS OFFSEASON WE CAN'T SIGN AND TRADE FOR THEM.
