If we signed Meeks or Barbosa, I think we have the best team ever assembled
on paper. Adding Martin would also help with that, but our primary concern should be our backcourt. Whether they perform up to their potential or not, the Lakers would be the best team anyone could ask for... ever.
Nash/Blake/Duhon/Morris
Bryant/Meeks
Artest/Ebanks/Clark
Gasol/Jamison/Martin
Howard/Hill
I mean damn. Our bench is basically good enough to beat the Bobcats, Pistons, and Kings. Our starting lineup is riddled with MVPs, DPOYs, and All-Star appearances. We're not the fastest team, but defensively we should be INSANE in our starting 5. Nash isn't a great perimeter defender, but advanced stats show he's a good team guy. Artest and Howard are both game changers on the defensive end. Gasol is an alright defender and then Kobe is still there. He can shut down anyone on any given night and considering we've got so much offensive firepower, some nights he can take it easy on that end.
If you try to play LA in a half court set... you're doomed. You're doomed I say.
