Pau for Derrick Williams/AK47? :bang:

Think bigger... We may be down on Pau's play but that's not the discussion point for dealing Pau. Mitch is a cold-blooded hustler and we're currently in "win now" mode. He turned Fisher into Jordan Hill, and Walton into Sessions. If he's giving up Pau, he's bringing in a haul. Don't insult the man!

Kyrie Irving just went down for a month with a fracture in his finger. I think it's time to send them Blake. :man1:

And Ebanks if they want him.......for Boobie Gibson.

Man, Ariza is only averaging 24 minutes, 8.3 points per game for Washington... I wonder if he's available? :man1:
In the real world, the day Steph awoke at 9 a.m. to begin his Ustream show, Kobe Bryant probably awoke at the same time, even if it was 6 a.m. in California, and lifted weights.

Time for Ariza to come home! Washington can take their pick of Clark/Ebanks, and Duhon/Blake.

Imagine if our management decided to get Rashard Lewis and Leandro Barbosa instead of Meeks and Jamison.

Those 2 would've been perfect for this style of play. Lewis to play beside Dwight or Hill to space the floor and Barbosa to be an actual legit scoring threat that KNOWS mda offense and has played with Nash before

Instead we got inconsistent Meeks and Jamison

I don't think it's a matter of management deciding to pick players over other players, Lewis wanted to go to Miami so he did, Barbosa said he was interested in coming here then bolted for Boston. Jamison has struggled early and Meeks has been terrible, but it's 11 games into the season, still plenty of time to turn it around.

Lakers show interest in Raja Bell

With the hiring of Mike D'Antoni as coach, the Los Angeles Lakers are showing a renewed interest in acquiring exiled Utah Jazz guard Raja Bell, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Veteran guard Raja Bell last played for the Jazz last season. (AP)Bell, 36, has had strong advocates with general manager Mitch Kupchak and Kobe Bryant since the summer, but D'Antoni's history coaching Bell with the Phoenix Suns has amplified discussion of signing the veteran guard should the Lakers create an opening on their roster.

With a $100 million payroll and $30 million in additional luxury-tax expenditures, the Lakers are unsure about cutting a player, paying his salary and then paying the additional salary ($1.3 million) and tax that it would take to sign Bell.

The Lakers have tried unsuccessfully for several weeks to trade bench players to create roster space.

"The biggest question is the taking on of more money," a league source told Yahoo! Sports.

Bell is still under contract with the Jazz, but the team has allowed him to stay away this season until he finds a suitable offer and the two sides can execute a buyout. Once Bell has secured a contract for the veteran's minimum elsewhere, the Jazz will buy out the difference on the remaining $3.5 million on his 2012-13 contract. Bell wouldn't lose any money between the buyout and joining a new team.

Utah has allowed Bell and his agent, Herb Rudoy, to search out deals elsewhere. The Chicago Bulls have shown some interest in Bell, too, but haven't made any offers, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

When his minutes and role diminished a year ago, Bell began to clash with Jazz coach Tyrone Corbin. Bell started 30 games for the Jazz a year ago, but his minutes steadily decreased over the season. Bell had long been considered a quality perimeter defender and a credible 3-pointer shooter, but several league executives, scouts and coaches wonder how much of that proficiency is still left in his game.

Bryant has been a proponent of acquiring Bell once he's a free agent – and has communicated that to Bell, sources said – but Los Angeles signed shooting guard Jodie Meeks and absorbed several contracts in its trade for Dwight Howard.

Bell has been working out in his hometown of Miami, preparing for his chance to return to the league.

We do need bench help, but I'm not sure if he has anything left.

If we are looking to add another guard to the bench, might as well get one that can you know, contribute. Not really sure what Bell does that Jodie Meeks or a FA we should be looking at (D.West) can't do.

We want to bring in a guy that went after the coach for not playing, by putting him behind Kobe in a rotation our current backup is getting barely any run?

If you can get rid of that bum Blake go for it, otherwise I'm not seeing the point.

^^At this point I'm not sure Bell is any better than Blake... in fact, until we get Nash back Blake is a lot more valuable to us than Bell would be.

He looked done last year before he started getting injured. Even when he was good.... he wasn't that good.

all indications were that Jamison was better and had more to offer, Lewis didn't do squat in Was and he also wanted Mia all along, however I do not know what happened with Barbosa. We must have not even bothered trying with him, seeing as how he went to a Bos team that has deep depth at the Guard position.

With the uncertainty of Nash's return, if we dump Blake, we need a play maker in return, which is why I would love for the FO to go after West. But we need to dump some players for that to happen, hell PAY teams to take them. We need talent on this bench asap.

Pietrus would be a perfect backup SF.

Problem is that our jam at the 4/5 has pushed Jamison to the 3 and there'd be no mins for him.

I'm curious with what Pau could be traded for. We need a more versatile lineup. The Pau/Dwight thing won't work in the offense we're running. moving Pau would give Jamison less mins at the 3 and then Pietrus would make sense

Pietrus as a backup SF would be an upgrade over Devin; that would be a great fit.

We have 1.6 million left on the mini-MLE. It's a little bit more than the minimum, not by much, but we could make a 2 year deal out of it.

I hope they add some youth/athleticism. Pietrus or West would fit the bill.
