The Nash deal is proving to be a real mistake. Robbed the team of any remaining draft picks and left them with a 40 year old broke down point guard that couldn't play D in his best years...

Yeah but hindsight is always 20/20. In that moment we made a great trade. That team, if they stayed/got healthy, was supposed to be a contender. Instead we endured (and are still enduring) the worst stretch in Laker history.

Oh well.

.

Take that:

Kobe with one leg
No Howard
Gasol / RKelly front court
Mitch telling Sacre: "I want to see your jersey up there in about 10 years"
D'antoni knows his butt is on the line and will run Nash and Kobe into the ground

Dorrell Wright to the Blazers. Efff man theres like garbage left in the FA market now. I dont think the Lakers even have to try to tank, the roster is absymal as it is even after we add whatever remaining free agents

Oh yeah. Dorrell Wright is going to pick the Lakers now.

Nope.

We'll be lucky to get some idealized kids that aren't getting a ton of great offers. We'll try to get some more Jodie Meekses: players who are okay, have a lot of heart, and want to be a part of the Lakers. There won't be many.

No Garcia, Wright, Copeland, Barnes, etc.

All guys who should want to be Lakers and were within our financial means, yet we're striking out left and right.

The writing is on the wall

As Markazi mentioned, Vujacic will likely be back in the Association next season, it just depends on where he’ll end up. With the Lakers clearly in need of some outside shooting help, a Vujacic/Lakers reunion isn’t outside the realm of possibility.

Vujacic is best known in Los Angeles for his two clutch free throws to seal off the Boston Celtics in Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals.

Another former Laker that might be making a comeback is guard Jordan Farmar, who has also been linked in talks with the Lakers so far this offseason.

Hopefully Sasha isn't alone.. I really want Collison, Mullens, or Nick Young for the MMLE.. Collison will probably get bigger offers but the other 2 are perfectly realistic.

I want Collison the most out of that list. he had a down year last season, but he is talented and it may have just been the situation. Also, Collison is Nash insurance. Nick Young is the best "fit" but the guy seems to suffer from Sudden Cranial Rock Syndrome.

Ok, so available choices still, Nick Young, Delfino, Morrow, Sasha, maybe Farmar, that's not so bad if we can get a couple.

I think Farmar has been ruled out because his buyout from his team in Turkey is more than the contract we could offer him.. I'd scratch Delfino off the list because he'll probably go to a contender.. What we're going to end up with is the guys that want to come to a place where they can jack up a ton of shots.. Sasha will almost certainly be back, Nick Young is probably high on us right now, but Collison is by far the best value left if we can get him for mmle.. Unless Monta decides to be our savior.. Still haven't heard much talk about him since the rumor that he'd take a paycut to go to the knicks.

Ideally, Nick Young for mMLE, Morrow/Sasha both for Vet Min. I think at this point we need Metta to be our backup 4/3.

Pau/Sacre
Hill/MWP
Morrow
Kobe/Young/Meeks
Nash/Blake

geez, we still have a ton of holes. As others are discussing above, we need big bodies. Kenyon/Lamar/Jamison are all needed.

This is going to be a rough rough season.

Can we please start making some sort of moves. And I doubt its bc Mitch is keeping it all secret...its mostly bc we dont have any to begin with.

I say our best chance is to bring back Farmar OR Sasha. Sign Delfino PLEASE. Sign Kenyon to vet min. Maybe bring back Lamar for vet min...idk if clips are bringing him back after a subpar season?

Nash/Blake/Morris (or Farmar instead of Sasha, and keep Morris as a combo guard)
Kobe/Meeks/Sasha
Metta/Delfino (20 mins each)
Lamar/Kenyon/Kelly
Pau/Hill/Sacre

That could be dope...not amazing but prob the best we could do now honestly and the cheapest.

Nick Young would be ideal. I'd also take Mullens.

I doubt we get either.

We've to tank! With this core we have 0,111% chances to win, and few chances also to get a playoff spot.

There still is a logjam up in Oakland. Iggy and Barnes are in the same position. I wonder if they would take Pau for one of their bad contracts and Barnes?
