He's gotten worse and worse since leaving Charlotte. Limited athleticism, his shooting plummeted, and his passing hasn't been anything to write home about.

But still worth a call for our team. At the worst he's the type of guy we'd look to pick up this summer on the cheap.

I'd give him a 10 day contract then, if he'd be willing to take it. If it didn't work out, no harm done.

Agreed. I'm not saying we shouldn't go after him at all, just stating why he's found his way from alright starter in Charlotte to waived by the Raptors. :man10:

December 15th is coming soon. Pau's expiring contract is still available for GM's who may be doubting a FA signing during the offseason.

Any thoughts?

Here are my thoughts: Pau is a star in this league - who is a difference maker, an elite player and he has a lot of years in him.

Let's hope the GMs believe the same.

No with a capital N on Lamar. He brings nothing long term and would make this year's fun team to watch like a modern day Journey concert....

Seriously. Also, besides the drug situation, he's DONE.

From what I can gather, all of the Bobcats' phone calls are about making this team better now. I'm even hearing rumblings that Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will be on the table when he returns from injury. ESPN.com

The fact that Evan Turner, Spencer Hawes and Thaddeus Young are being heavily shopped also means the Sixers have no intention of trying to get better this season. They're apparently trying to figure out how to get worse. ESPN.com

Philly is also under the minimum salary requirement so if they don't make a trade to take on salary they'll have to pay their players bonuses.. They have no interest in making the playoffs this season so it's hard to see a Pau deal making sense for them unless they can shed some long term salary.. We'd have to take on Jrich's contract for sure, & Thad would likely be included since he has the biggest contract/most years remaining.. Something like Thad, Hawes, Jrich for Pau & 1 or 2 of our young players might make some sense for them if they want a ton of space next summer.

Just for fun...in the unfortunate event that we miss the play-offs (we don't tank, if the team is not just good enough to make it) and fortunate to have the balls bounce our way (or envelope)..Who should we get? Wiggins or Jabari small forwards/swingmen who we have alot of or a center (Wiggins teammate whose name escapes me).. I choose the Center :man9: it's like Olajuwon or Jordan all over again

Source confirms Raptors working "hard" to move DeRozan and Lowry....but the price for both is "surprisingly high."

^ You're talking about a Toronto team who just traded Rudy Gay for Salmons, Hayes and Patterson.

No. Lin and asik are both overrated and over paid
Every time I begin to ask, "Is he really as great as I think he is?" ...He proves that he is.
Every time I begin to wonder...He proves it...That is why I won't lose hope in him.
You know who I am talking about.

Lin is a better player than any of our PG's (although Farmar is right there) & Asik is a better fit for this team at C than Pau. Overpaid yes but their cap hits are only 8M each next season. Who cares what we actually have to pay them when it doesn't count towards the cap. I'd take that deal & run but there's no chance the Rockets go for that.

I doubt Dwight wants to share the paint with Pau again.
