They may think highly of him if they know where his rehab is at and not get a vet PF, and let him and CDR fill out spots 12 and 13 on the roster for the year since you can suit up 13 nowadays.

I see Meeks, Kelly, Sacre, and maybe CDR all playing spot minutes anyhow and Pringles running the main 9 with some small ball with Wes at the 4, unless if LO comes here

no way, Kelly makes Vlad look like a speed demon, this guy has like a snail pace to his game, even his highlights he looks slow.

Bryan Cook 2.0 it looks like.
His ceiling would probably be Matt Bonner.
I'm not expecting much with this pick.

well not expecting that at all but compared to Vlad? Vlad was more of a SF that was just 6 10" and played PF, Kelly plays more like Vlade then Vlad, only comparision is fact that both Kelly/Vlad shoot 3's.

Cook sounds bout right but even slower IMO, Cook for his failings was a 1st team all-conf. when we drafted him compared to Kelly.

Vlad was pretty athletic early in his career; when he came to LA, he was pretty rigid, and he's going the way of Frankenstein now. I don't know anything about Kelly's style of play, so I'll take your word on the comparisons.

Kelly seems way more like Frye than like any Vlad or Vlade we've had.

Kelly reminds me more of Luke with a 3pt shot.

Whatever you say about Walton, he had good handles for a SF, great vision, consummate teammate, and a good help defender. Is Kelly those things? (Hint: I don't know.)

I'd say not really. He is an alright passer, he doesn't have any handles whatsoever, but I think he'd qualify as a good teammate and an okay help defender.

His comparison/ceiling should definitely be Channing Frye.

I agree with others he has a lot of "Dirk" look to him. Tall guy. White guy. = Dirk 2.0 (around here, right?)

I'm thinking Channing Frye. I know he's not white, but it's the best comparison.

I was going to reference his post play and speed, but whatever you want to assume me to think.

Luke did have good court vision, not sure about being a help defender, I thought a better post defender.

Carrying the older players bags is part of the rehab process? :man10:

Since when is that an approved rehab method?

Since the King Kobe tore his achilies, got up, walked to the free throw line and sank to shots. :man1:
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

Lakerfan2: You don't think Luke had a good post game? I bet Kelly's is nowhere near Luke's. Speedwise, that would be a fun race to watch. :man10:

No, I thought Luke had a decent post game. He worked in the triangle because he had size and vision.

Kelly's primary game is his shot, of course, but looking at that highlight video showed that he has some footwork and touch around the basket. With his size, I think he could take on some PF's on the league. Perhaps learn the Dirk Fade from Kobe, seems like that's RKelly's idol based on the mannerisms he has.
