better question would be who'll miss more shots during games, Meeks or Sasha?

I give the edge to Sasha on defense.. His hustle isn't as fake as Meeks'. He actually did a good job & got under guys skin at times. I think he'd be better for us than Meeks & will be a good cheap insurance policy if Kobe isn't ready to start the season.

tough choice ... I can tell you who will commit more fouls 35 feet away from the basket though

Lol are you kidding? Sasha? :man10:

Ok, well I guess Id take him back for the minimum. He wouldn't be worse than Morris.

Yes. Has chermistry with Kobe, works hard, and can get really hot.

I remember when we traded him to NJ, he really exploded and looked like a solid NBA player for a month or 2 stretch.

While I wouldn't expect him to be a savior to the bench, I do like him on our roster. we need guys with younger legs and the desire to shoot. Even if they just sit and watch for the most part.

Ideally, we could have Sasha and Boobie Gibson as 3rd string SG/PG.

I love Nate Robinson but think he'll get more the the mini mid level. Nick Young, Barnes, Delfino, Morrow, Bellinelli, Garcia, Wright, and Stephen Jackson are all guys I'd like to see us go after.

if ever there was a player for d'antoni's offense, it's sasha. didn't particularly like him when he was here, but i never once doubted his effort or commitment to the team, & i'd welcome him back

As desperate as we are I'll pass. He was basically useless after 08 and only redeemed himself with the 2 FTs in Game 7.

Ha ha, if he doesn't come back we can always remember the laughs and lighter times, another funny mix

I'll also never forget these 2 free throws, the Celtics hit some crazy 3's at the end of the game, these FT's were crucial. We saw what happened when the Spurs missed free throws, cost them a title, while Sasha sealed one for us

For the minimum? Yeah, why not? Have a feeling he would make more overseas, it is up to him what is more important. The Lakers know what they would be getting, Kobe trusts him. He was a beast in 2008, and made unbelievably important free throws in 2010.

wow talk bout short term memory, dude was pretty much Meeks lvl of shooting the year he got booted he only had 1 good shooting season and what do you know it was a contract year too.

Short term is fixating on one season. Wouldn't it?

Sasha's 3pt shooting
Career: .371
Since his third year in the league: .382
In his last year in the league: .370

I'm not sure why we couldn't use that, considering only Nash and Blake shot better than those numbers last year.

who would you waste a minimum contract on? A well loved player like Sasha who sucks or uncharismatic garbage players like Morris, Glock or Ebanks who likewise suck?

and Meeks shot nearly 36% last year but you wouldn't think that seeing all those wide open misses, pretty much Sasha the last season before he got traded.
